You might be right but in my books if Keith says it you can take it to the bank.

Art (not Keith) posted it as a reply to a comment on his personal facebook page.  I don't know how to do a screen cap of facebook postings, or I'd add it for easier reference.

The original comment was from Justin Johnson:

Hi Art - Many on the forums are wondering if your open lines are going to be filtered through call screeners like Premiere did with Coast to Coast the last few years? After all the years of you running your own board, I can understand if you'd want to give that up and do things differently, but curious either way! Welcome back!

The reply is from Art:

My open lines will not be screened

If you get that, you're cool.

Art confirmed he will  have unscreened calls on Facebook. (click pic for larger image)

Art, well adult males, should avoid having the same title as the Benny Mardones pedo song(hit top 40 in 1980 and '89 you creepy Americans).....

Wow... I hadn't thought of that song in a long time.  Your eclectic knowledge of music never ceases to impress, Eddie, in all sincerity.

Why on the GNS thread is everyone a Dave fan now?  Is it because he is chatting with the site now.  Big deal.  C2C is  bad and not even close to how it was years ago.  A big welcome back for Art.  He will have a superior show no matter how good a product George and Premrat try to put out now.  If they do

I don't know if "everyone" is a Dave fan, but I see it as a win-win if Dave ups his game and I think he should be encouraged to do so. Granted, Dave has a way to go, but if what I hear of his old Nighthawk days is true, he might have it in him.

If he and permeates make the show better, great.  I guess we will see soon enough

Thanks. Mybe it's my negative instincts that made me see "Into the Night" as a prospective title and immediately gag and remember hearing that song in malls and supermarkets in 1980. Along with Robbie DuPree's "Steal Away" and George Benson's "Give Me the Night"

         Now I feel ill.

Isn't it crazy? These are songs we have barely heard in 33 years...but we get stuck with them in our heads all these years later.

I worked in a supermarket as a teenager(1992-93)...and of "those" songs from the 70's/early 80's were still in regular rotation via the "entertainment" program they subscribed to.

If Art starts out with guests like RCH I'm going to bail on Sirius. I can get "Same Old Same Old" for free elsewhere.

perhaps you should wait and see how art approaches it.  you might be pleased.  we won't know until the show starts.

One guest who will be on one night and probably not again for months will make you bail?
Good logic.

I think Orleans' "Dance with Me" is the most often played grocery store song from that era.  I still hear it when I'm out shopping.

Art's making Hoagland ride the Sybian. It could be compelling.

Art's changing the name of the show to 'Grafenberg Matter'?   At least he won't have to change the tagline.

Relax.  The only entree in this cookbook is Jorch Jambalaya.  It'll be finished off with the first episode of "Dark Matter."

Yes. But a mop and Hazmat suit would be needed afterward.
