I can't imagine.  I was a fan and member for many years at C2C, tried hard to keep interested even after the CoastRiders forum was closed down, but alas I did not succeed.  I listen to all of John B. Wells Programs now on CaravanToMidnight, and can hardly wait to hear Art again real soon !!!!!

Critical, free thinking is a pretty good premise, or foundation, or principle to build a forum on. There are others at BellGab, too, I'd say. But then, shit happens and those principles get put to the test -- or maybe start colliding with each other, like in a George Pal movie.

I am annoyed right now. I listen to pro wrestling podcasts, yeah... I'm that guy. And doing the circuit including one of the biggest ones with over a million listeners (that's like 1,000 DMRNs) is Bryan Alvarez who's one of the biggest pro wrestling pundits along with Dave Meltzer out there. This dude is all over the place in the pro wrestling/mma media and world.

Imagine how much publicity DMRN could be getting right now if Alvarez was throwing out plugs for his guest hosting Midnight in the Desert in Art's absence on top of being able to put out a much better show. It's not world beating but I bet one plug on Jim Ross' podcast would quadruple MITD's current listener numbers.

Plus he's got like two decades of experience hosting live radio shows...
