What will be very difficult to explain from my view, is how if being on the air endangered his family, he announces he is hanging up the microphone, yet immediately after that, calls in Friday night when Heather allegedly is hosting the show and takes over interviewing the guest!!!
Then he hands his chair to Heather, but says he may pop in or even host a show once in a while.

How can he/anyone explain that if being on the air is endangering his family....that is why he quit MITD, that it's ok as long as he's doing from Skype in his home vs going to his guest house studio?

If anyone has an answer to that, I'd sure like to hear it.

You will look in vain for logic or a strategy.  He's just an ordinary guy reacting to difficult circumstances.  The only unusual thing is that he is a public figure with a large following and his social-media forays aren't filtered through handlers.  It's not the usual massaged corproate bs; it's like the girl on facebook who posts after she fights with her bf, then after she makes up -- in real time you learn just to ride it out.

I disagree with those advocating professional PR.  Wouldn't be Art-like at all, and would shut down most of his interaction with us, which, now, is all we've got.  Just relax.

I dont think this show was that controversial compared to a lot of other shows. tI would make sense that another big big radio station could pay someone a good chunk of money to go and scare Art off the air.

I do think he could've just taken a week off to deal with all of this and getting to the bottom of it. To just quit again was a little much i think.

It's interesting watching the meltdown on all the Art Bell communities out there. I'm reading through them now and it's almost like listening to live broadcasts from 9/11. Most them don't buy it and are pretty upset too.

It was the rukus caused by the police coming, lights flashing and little Asia being in her room alone, scared and wondering what was going on while the grownups handled things.

Art said that he didn't know about her being so scared and that when he heard about it he made his decision.

I don't think for a second he wants off the air. So if he can drop back in from time to time, wonderful.

BUT, how does staying off the air protect Asia or his family unless there is something/s we don't know?

If staying off the air indeed does protect Asia and his family, then why did he go back on the air Friday night?

Were there no other alternatives to both making Asia feel safe and ensuring the safety of his family, other that quitting, but then not really quitting because he went on the air Friday night and also stated that he may go back on the air from time to time?

How does any of that make any sense?

It was the rukus, not any perceived danger. I don't know any other way to put it. We're both putting motivations and our own perceptions into it. You want to stay confused, ok. He's a crazy man. There.
