Welp, I made it past the halfway mark in the first hour but then sleep took over.

Didn't help that the show wasn't so riveting. Jimmy was well-organized and prepared, but why wouldn't you be if you had the guy on your own show a few weeks ago?

The lack of calls was expected since, as Uncle Duke pointed out, it was pretty easy to see what Bellgabbers were plotting. I naively hoped they'd roll the dice anyway. Maybe Doug Dietrich would've called in!  :P

In the Coast pantheon Jimmy is ahead of Noory, Garr, Willis, and Simone... but that's not a high climb.

If he does end up getting a steady Coast gig, how long til he starts half-assing it like Jorch?

I kept falling asleep too.
But Jimmy seemed nervous and flubbed quite a few lines.
I actually just started feeling sorry for him.

Knapp is a pretty high goal. damn near as good as Art. in fact as far as interviewing skill goes, Art would be the best ,with Knapp 2nd,  limbaugh 3rd, and bateman 4th (bateman you have it, and continue to improve with each show). most of the rest of talk radio (hannity, levin, savage, etc seems like they look for lots of yelling/screaming on their shows) i dont care for much, and rarely do i lissen to rush.

Ms. C

I am proud of the bellgab army being armed and ready!  And those corporate prem-rats keeping open lines off the air ... just goes to show you that they are probably more than a bit concerned about our abilities (hehehehe) ....

I only listened to about an hour last night, but Jimmy as ok. He was tolerable to listen to, unlike most C2C hosts. I gave up trying to listen to C2C a few years ago. My thoughts

A) He is better than what they have, so I am not necessarily against things.
B) Why didn't Art have him sign a NC? Then he could have traded Jimmy for premrat getting him out of his NC.
C) I am pretty sure that premrat told him not to utter the words "Art Bell"
D) I hope Jimmy doesn't forget who gave him his start. "Sitting in for Art Bell"... He better.

i agree, he is better than the rest of the current fill-in hosts, except Knapp and possibly shrader (sp?) . and is certainly better than a super suck sunday with snooron and the submerging artists.

Can we really begrudge the guy either? In the end he's looking after his future. It's a big opportunity to have a spot on a nationally syndicated show which is the dream of any broadcaster. Does he owe Art and Keith anything for putting him on their network? Perhaps. Is he doing the dirty on them? Maybe. If he can sleep at night then more power to him. Prior to tonight I'd never listened to a single show of his and going forward I'll never listen to him again so have a nice life Jimmy.

No, I can't blame him for taking the opportunity to get his name out there.  Obviously Art felt the same way through his prior postings.   But *if* he told Art that this would only be a one time thing and he goes back on, then for lying through his teeth he should be tossed immediately from the network.   If KR lied, and JC never said it would be a one time thing, then I hope Art severs ties with him.

I listened a little bit to his "area 51 caller returns" from his webpage, I could only listen to about 1 minute of him talking before I turned it off.  It was bad, I mean really bad.  First off, the intro was pretty fucking awful.  So I skipped ahead a bit to the call, and it sounded very very very set up.  Besides, I think this guy already called Art back and confessed to lying about the whole thing.  I won't be listening to JC again unless I happen to be in my car when he's filling in, nothing else is on the radio and I'm out of cell data range.

Complete and utter waste of time.

*Yawn*

Dude you really need to be working as a comedy writer or just doing standup.  This is great stuff.

Eh, I dont know. I was thinkin` Mancow`s early Sunday morning mugshot.

Uncle Duke

When I was still listening to him, Church used Thur evening's FTB program as a "let's look back over the week" review and he took open line calls most of the show. His biggest problem seemed to be getting callers.  Might be he won't have trouble getting callers this Thur the 13th, I'm sure several 'gabbers might like to review and discuss events of early this week.  Some very pointed questions could be put forth, how forthcoming Church is with his answers could go a long way in determining where he stands on several issues of importance to Bellgabbers.

Mancow looked like he was in his early 50's on God, Guns and Whatever on History Channel.

They should stop calling it History Channel.  It's the Pawn Stars and sometimes American Pickers channel.  And that Rick guy that fixes stuff.

Don`t even get me started on those reality clowns.

Call me a sentimentalist, but I remember a far better time when the History channel was about HISTORY! And MTV was about music videos! And there wasn`t a dang football game on every single night of the bloody week!

Yeah, boy, you been 'churched.'  Feelin' a little bit dirty?

Is there anyone here who is surprised no calls were taken on-air this morning?  I fully expected it. For the past couple days, we've seen numerous posts here about Bellgab members calling in to disrupt the program (even going so far a to give lists of the numbers to use in posts to facilitate the pimping process), tips on how to get by the screeners, suggested things to say clearly meant to embarrass Noory, Church and the network while earning "extra points from Art", even trying to get Church to talk about the "one time" nature of his time guest hosting C2C in attempt to cause even further friction between the key parties involved.

To put it bluntly, you folks would not make it as guerrillas or insurgents in an unconventional warfare scenario.  You don't plan these things in the open for the bad guys to see and prepare for.  Just because the member log here shows most, if not all, of the principals have not been on the site, you can damn well bet they or their minions are reading ever word, if nothing else as a guest.  Shit, one of the principles has/had at least four different accounts/user names here pushing his own agenda.  Bottom line is, these may not be the sharpest knives in the drawer, but most of them can read what you're planning.  And they don't have to be a CIC type to figure out how to beat you at your own game.....don't take calls.

If you are going to try this again in the future, plan everything OFF this site.  Think Op Sec.  Phone one another, e-mails, text, meet in bar somewhere, but don't broadcast your sources and methods here where they can be easily prepared for and your efforts foiled.
So let's cut to the chase here, ummm, you're saying the Trogs over at Prem are not as stupid as we know them to be?
That Tommy can actually read?

Is it true that he can only use blue crayon to write those 3X5's?  Being that the red crayon reminds George of clown facepaint?

You have the shouting bit right but Fort Rock can only be summoned by repeating his name 3 times whilst starring into a mirror at midnight on a night with a full moon.
Got it.  I tried clicking my ruby Jordans together while chanting "There's no place like Nye" but I kept ending up in a 7-11, in back of some salami-smelling dude with a bad rug.

That's true, Duke, but I'm not sure a phone barrage would have worked in the first place, because it would have depended on a lot of BellGabbers getting through, and the odds of that would be pretty slim.  Also, I think it's a victory that the mere threat of a BellGab invasion caused to them to panic and shut down the phone lines.  That's really quite an extraordinary measure for them to take and it shows how rattled they were.  I think Art knew exactly what he was doing when he posted that suggestion here.

There were over 300 unregistered 'guests' reading our posts last night.  Some of them had to be from premrat.  We must have scared them!   ;D

Never have been one to put a lot of stock in moral victories, but I get your point.  Still, had the intentions to call not been publicized here, I think they would have taken calls and at least a few 'gabbers would have gotten through.  A small number of nuisance calls can quickly become a force multipler, disrupting the flow of the program and raising questions from hundreds of thousands of listeners who've never heard of Church, DMRN, or this site.  I think that was part of Art's goal from his FB post.

That ship has sailed, but those who care still have a shot at asking tough question of JC on his Thurs night show.  Obviously not even an order of magnitude of the number of listeners as on C2C, but that means it should take only a small BG invasion to get a respectable number of calls through to a program that had trouble getting calls in the first place.

The General

Sounds like I didn't miss much.
