I've been lurking for a week and decided to join too!  It's been fun reading all this about Art.  I started listening to him in 1996 and was so sad when he left.  GN is a nice man but the show is boring.  I can't stand the way he hangs up on the callers, without we listeners there is no show.  I can't get anything done either except check Art's site and read these posts.  Nice to meet all of you.

Really no way to know one way or the other, but she knew exactly what I was talking about, and a young intern would most likely not. No idea though. I've been making calls literally on and off all day, and the feeling I am getting is people can't talk about it until tomorrow.

Actually, if Art's new show is on Cumulus as we think it will be, I'd think his show would air on KSFO, the huge AM station it used to run on here in the Bay Area for years and years, before they dropped c2c when they wanted to drop Rush.  In its place, they've been airing Red Eye Radio in the 10pm to 3 slot.  I expect them to put Art's new show into that slot, and drop Red Eye Radio which is not a fave here in the Bay Area and has not been a popular change for them (I heard they received many loyal listeners' complaints when they pulled c2c and replaced it with Red Eye Radio).  Then KKSF got c2c on their nightly lineup shortly after that, but that station has a weak signal and I can't get it in well at all where I live on the fringes of the Bay Area.  Hence, if I'm to listen to c2c, as I still do on occasion (heck, Punnett and Knapp are good), I have to stream it online.

There was a CG user who got through once and gave a shout out, I think back in 2011.  Forgot his name, but I think MV offered a few bucks prize for someone, and this dude won it.

For all I know, more CGers have gotten on C2C. I've only read the forum sporadically till recently.

He/she didn't give a name, so I have no idea who it was.

I'm a de-lurker, too! I'm hoping this comeback is legit because I only discovered Art after he retired (for good?).  I was too young to stay up and listen to the show when he was helming it. And I know I'm not the only one.  I think if he gets a new show he'll have a whole new generation of listeners tuning in who have discovered him via youtube, etc.

Welcome, co-newbie.  I too had been lurking, and finally could not resist joining in.  This is all way too exciting to stay quiet over!  (Announcement tonight, I'll bet, late... then the "official announcement" tomorrow.  Oh, it's going to be great to have Art to listen to on the radio again!).
