George Noory Sucks! - The Definitive Compendium

Started by MV/Liberace!, April 06, 2008, 12:23:02 AM

Can Noory pronounce anything correctly?

No
No

Frys Girl

I can't believe people paid tickets for a show where George Noory sang. How pathetic. George Noory sucks. He actually thought it was appropriate to do that? What a loser.

Tara

I read the "positive" posts on U-Tube re: Noory's singing.  It' s depressing that I have to live in a world with people of such marginal intelligence and taste.  One poster said Noory should make a CD of his songs.  I bet he will and then continually plug it on C2C.

The new National Geographic series that starts Friday night that the guest was promoting in the first 2 hours of c2c, looks suspiciously like the exact same format as the old History Channel series 'Ufo Hunters'
They both have a 3 person team researching old UFO cases consisting of one believer, one skeptic, and one undefined.
All they are missing is a team leader like Bill Birnes with sunglasses...

I've seen the first episode, it's very uninspired.  Surprising, because James Fox is on the show and his 2 UFO documentaries are pretty good, or at least Out of the Blue is pretty good.  The second one is fair.  So based on that I expected the show to be at least decent, but it's very lame, bordering on silly, and has nothing new.  Actually, I think some of segments of the show are taken out of the second documentary I Know What I Saw.  My opinion of Fox as a serious UFO investigator just fell out the bottom.

Rasputin

With very exceptions, TV shows dealing with UFO stories/sightings are usually a waste of time. C2C back in the day was the place to hear interesting talk on this topic. Although occasionally you do hear some good stuff, especially from George Knapp, most of the guests have a screw loose, or are just flat out full of themselves or full of shit.
I'm looking forward to the day when somebody steps up to the plate, and gives good good interviews again, but I highly doubt it will be C2C unless there are some serious changes. Replacing George Norry would be a hell of a start.

Mehhhh, hold yer horses, Doc.

So there you are, Jaz. Missed you. I even called out to the interverse here a couple of days ago - you obviously felt a disruption The Force, Luke. [In the last few days I watched the first 3 Star Wars episodes (IV, V & VI) on BluRay and I'm astounded how good they look now, and reminded how much I enjoyed those movies - and hated the dreck that followed in I, II and II]

Hey ya, Winston.  :D  I'm of the opinion that Lucas should have stopped after the first three - the best in my opinion. I have nightmares of waking up with Princess Leia Swiss roll hair buns.

Checked out the YouTube comments to George's cabaret act. George is getting his "talking points" out there, and many Noory-lovers accuse those who don't support George of being "haters". I think it is so cute that George calls non-supporters "haters", and now his fans do it too!

And there's a new term they're throwing around if you come to YouTube and comment less-than-positively about George: it's "stalker". See, we're all supposed to live together online at one place - here! And if we ever leave the concentration camp and go to another site where we comment and show that not everyone loves The Man With The Lowest IQ In Radio, then we are "stalkers" who evilly hound the poor man. Funny, I didn't know you could stalk George by commenting on him by name. Gee, the stuff I learn on C2C.

So why can't we turn the tables on them and deem them all "haters"?

Watching and hearing Noory singing is like being at a wedding reception and having your weird, pervy uncle getting up on stage after a few drinks and serenading his nieces. Eww.

Evilly? Never hoid that woid. Gosh, Sardondi, you're the most smartest.

If Noory was a child, this would be his art.

Sweet ever lovin' Jesus, that "art" reminds me of "The Amityville Horror" (the original with Margot Kidder and James Brolin) when the little kid draws the picture of "Jodie the Pig" to show her parents who it is that "visits" her in her bedroom. Jody, of course, being...."cue horror music"...S A T A N!! That house in Amityville gave me the creeps...especially those attic windows that resembled eyes!

Satan...demon...demonic...Snoory. It's a world of laughter and a world of tears...

Oh, come now, surely you jest? "They" just happen to be the most smartest 1970's female private dicks that worked for Charlie Townsend, donchya know. And somehow they managed to conceal their guns in their bikinis and glamorous evening gowns.

Noory hates the haters, and I resent that!

Quote from: stevesh on June 28, 2012, 05:05:49 AM
He is. You're thinking of the highest PQ (pomposity quotient).

As for PQ, Bohannon has Howard Stern to beat.

But for lowest IQ, I was specifically thinking Larry King no longer had a radio show, so that the road was clear for Noory. Heh - Larry King vs. George Noory: wouldn't that be a real horse race?

Heh. One of those I didn't even think about, just plugged an "ly" on the end. You know, like the well known adverbs devilly, angelly, allly, broilly, callly.... You really did have me checking the dictionary though - and Alejandro Blechmann's Online Dictionary Of Real Words said, "Why, hell yeah, 'evilly' is a word, Bubba...ain't it?"

Larry King and George Noory, 2 dents on the same can.

I was bored and had 5 extra minutes, so I edited that Noory singing Elvis video. Here he is auditioning for American Idol. those judges can be so cruel.

Priceless coaster! ;D

And yes Jasmine, I was joking. I could never understand why my Dad watched that show, untill I got older. ;)

I just checked out the Noory-plays-Vegas vid at YouTube, and it seems to be growing nicely, but nothing like viral (or is that virally?). I'd say it's about 50-50 on the comments - does that seem right to ya'll? I noticed he really does seem to generate a ton of very negative feeling from his detractors, but no real passion from his supporters.

I saw this comment and thought it was the most painful and devastating, yet honest, assessment, although very sad:
"Seriously, where the hell was his family? Does no one love this man enough to save him from his own vanity?"

Wow. That is brutally honest. I agree that it's not really love or kindness to let a loved one "follow his dream" when his ego blinds him from seeing that, far from being God's gift to whatever, he's truly awful, and risks making a laughingstock of himself. But YMMV.

This has got to be a joke. Seriously. The new week of shows (actually WEAK of shows) just got posted. This is July 5's:

First Hour: Mind-body weight loss expert, Jon Gabriel, will kick off George Noory's Shape Up America campaign with concrete techniques to get our bodies to want to be thinner without having to use will power.

His Shape Up America campaign? Wtf

Sardondi

Dropped by the Elvis Lives video to look at comments. There were just under 9,000 views and 180 comments, with some multiple commenters on each side. Some had been removed, some were spam and some didn't really speak to support of or attack on Noory. But of those that clearly had a position, here's how it breaks down: 77 in favor of George and/or his singing; 67 opposed, or 53.5% pro to 46.5% con.

To me that's amazing. The positive comments almost always run about 90% + on these kind of vids. For the negatives to run almost half, well, that's terrible news for George. I suppose coastgab.com could have skewed the results against Noory, and this is a small sample. But I still think it's valid.

If I were Team Noory I'd be working up my plan for what George will do when the C2C gig disappears, because it clearly will.

NoMoreNoory

A perfect example of Snoory being a giant toolbag. Just now:
Guest: "Do you know what the word Elohim means?"
Snoory: "Ohhh ummm of course. Absolutely!"

Of course I don't believe for a moment that he actually knew, but a good interviewer would most likely have responded with either: "No, I don't." or  "Well, I know what it means, but why don't you tell some of our listeners who may not."

He doesn't say this because he doesn't give a shit about the audience. At this point why don't they just go ahead and change the name of the show. As far as I'm concerned, C2C is dead and George Noory is the murderer. Hate is a strong word. Especially when used in relation to someone that I've never met and don't actually know. But I honestly think I hate him. I definitely hate what he's done.

Oh Joy. Linda the Moldy Cow is up next. Sigh.

Very ironic, because most any other time, he'd have a guest re-cover stuff or re-define terms that had been done to death, all for "the new listeners" according to Noory; all oriented to people who are 1) hearing the show, or anything about a given topic, for the first time and 2) probably not too smart.   Think of Lionel Fanthorpe telling about "Spring-Heeled Jack" for the 700th time -- AND Noory feigning first-time amazement every time it's told.
I guess Noory sucks by commission and by omission.

I thought it was nice of the video owner to let people leave comments, whether they were good or bad. I didnt know they were deleting comments. I'm surprised mine were not deleted. I just read these two comments and almost threw up my fruit loops-

"George Noory is a dream to listen to. In love with him......"
"I was there in the Platinum row right in front to see this...pure extacy...."
they had a platinum row... ::)

Linda Moldy Howe is on her blathering "report" again... she pronounces the word "phallic" as 'FAY-Lik'...... perhaps she's so frightened by penises that she can't even fathom referencing them in any intelligible way.

Yes, but it was only half full.  It actually sold out, but people dumb enough to pay extra --well, to "pay" at all -- to see Noory have trouble finding the venue.

Or afraid of putting certain images into what passes for Noory's "mind."   She wants to get to bed after the show, not answer awkward phone calls from Noory.
Either way --phallic, faylik -- Noory has no idea what it means.   Partly because he's an idiot, partly because he's not listening.

I wonder if Noory's 'singing' was included in the promotional materials, or did he just bring out the band, turn the lights low, and surprise everyone.

You can't criticize this man without being called a 'hater'. That is so fucking annoying. Anything this mustachioed blob of shit tries to do is great damnit, and if you dont like it, it means youre a hater.

(Sigh.)  ::)  The price of being an intelligent and discriminating C2C program listener... to be labeled a "hater" of Noory.

Quote from: HorrorReporter on June 27, 2012, 01:22:33 PM
Call me a hater but I bet when George Noory is done singing the mic smells like anchovies.
But the real question: Who behind the scenes is encouraging him to sing? Who tells him he is good?

Answer:  His ego and his dumbed-down ass-licking fans.  :o
