Do you think there are psychic vampire clowns. I hope there's a psychic vampire clown named Debbie out there somewhere.

Celente:  "Well, it's definitely a phenomenon."

Or maybe "Send in the Clowns" or "She's Out of My Life" to really get the party goin'.

I think there's one named Laffo von Yuckula.

The birthrates of Europe are in decline.  Europe may need immigrants just to keep things going.

Economists have been predicting for years that the two regions of the world where economies will continue to grow and thrive are Asia and the Middle East.

Juan Cena, I'm all pleased to hear you came through it alright.
However, to once again slighty defend Noory.  While I agree he shouldn't always put on guests who predict doom and gloom for the economy, it obviously isn't possible for him to consider the potential ramifications his show might have on each of his listeners.

NoMoreNoory, (Man)Ure is brilliant.  Thanks for that.

Regarding him. for a supposed futurist, I was surprised at how common and mundane virtually everything he said was.

Also, while I'm not an economist, I have taken a number of economics courses and I read a lot on the subject.  I believe in the 'random walk theory' and, as such, don't take 'technical analysis' seriously.  Further, the Kondratiev Wave is regarded as a joke by most mainstream economists.

Regarding last nights guest, While I had thought that one of the symptoms of hypothermia was specifically that it made the sufferer of it discoordinated, and, thus, the Diatlov Pass victims would have been unable to find their way back to the tent it apparently does not.  However, these are the common symptoms of moderate hypothermia (a body temperature of 28-32 C:
1.being unable to think or pay attention
2.Confusion
3.Loss of judgement and reasoning

So, it is still likely that the victims wouldn't have thought of going back to the tent.  So, while the guest kept referring to their failure to try to return to the tent as significant evidence for something, it isn't

Noory thought in the Kennedy story that Nelly the singer was involved?

This was a bizarre exchange, even by Noory's standards. Cilente was talking about interviewing Connolly in a hotel in, I think, 1992.

Cilente: Nellie was there.
Noory: Nelly the singer?
Cilente: (after a suitably dumbfounded pause) No, his wife.
Noory: Oh. Because I know Nelly the singer.

Where in the innermost recesses of the pea-brain does he imagine that a minor rapper who, at the time of the interview, was 18 years old, would have been hanging out with the former Governor of Texas? There also seems to be a vague assumption that Nelly should have been there simply because Joorch was once introduced to him in a restaurant.

Ha, ha, ha!  Next up on C2C with Jorch, Pat Boone was singing on the grassy knoll, followed by Billy Mumy, "They didn't know I was "The One" in The Book Depository because I was just a little kid!"

When I heard that I thought he HAS to be trolling this site. Right? That a special case of air-headiness. The only ET Noory should be involved in is Entertainment Tonight.  I think he'd be so much happier there.

Another thing that was kind of confusing from Noory, in the first half hour before Fitts came on he mentioned due to the economy doing better there will be less food stamps for people. Than he editorialized/mumbled something by saying I think "That's not good news". Did I hear that correctly? He didn't explain why that wouldn't be good news, wouldn't the economy doing better and less people needing to use assistance be good news? If anybody can get that first half hour and have a re-listen can tell me if he indeed said that.

As for Fitts, wasn't she a economic doom and gloomer since she came on C2C. Saying everything this admin is doing is going to ruin our economy. Now that the numbers are showing the economy didn't tank,  she comes on and says "It's not so bad".

Didn't Noory say he had an uneasy feeling about the upcoming year during the prediction shows, than during last night show he said he was positive feeling for the next year. I am sure after the doom and gloomer trend guys he will feel "uneasy" again.

136 or 142

Although GDP grew swiftly in the last quarter, other numbers that attempt to predict the future are more mixed.  So saying "it's not so bad" is probably accurate.

1) and a bizarre symptom of hypothermia can be removing one's clothes ("paradoxical undressing.") A commonly commented on phenomena though the theories vary (just mental issues "thinking" they are hot or comfortable as brain shuts down, physical sensation on the skin that "feels" like you are on fire as frost-bite sets in, the fact that blood is rushed to the brain and heart in attempt to kept body alive and so blood vessel in extremities swell in attempt to get blood and so "feel" warm , etc.) Similar, maybe, to how you "feel warm" drinking booze, especially in winter when you aren't, really, getting warmer but taking warmth from your core to your skin (which supposedly is a bad thing.) (I've heard the science but still don't abide by this theory and still like to have a flask while skiing ;) )

Why no guest, or stupid host, even mention this basic phenomena, which is well known, when discussing Dylatov Pass or the "strange" disappeared and found victims in our National Parks etc is beyond me.

2) Kondratiev Wave, and many other economic models and "stuff", to me, seems more like the various post-hoc fallacies and also finding patterns (Apophenia) one wants to find in very large set of data. And assuming that people act rationing and have complete information (have they never listened to a single C2C show? That will set the "rational actor" hypothesis on its head!) I'm sure there are good economists but if they were really that good why are they teaching and writing books and papers or appearing on news shows? They should be trillionaires.

It was mentioned on both of the previous programs and I believe George also mentioned it in passing on this show.  Though George has so many annoying interruptions I can certainly understand, if he did mention it, why you would have tuned it out.

The 5th Estate documentary tv show in Canada did a program on some person who died in the Canadian Arctic and they stated the, I guess, theory, of the body heating up when it is frozen as an established fact.

There is actually a great deal of research/debate on the 'rational actor' hypothesis going on.  As a liberal I'm mainly familiar with the work on it from Neo Keynsians such as George Akerloff.  Economists have always accepted that some people act strangely/not in their self interest but the general assumption was that, like with the law of large numbers, those people would be overwhelmed either by the number of people who did act rationally or that people would act strangely in 'both' directions and would cancel out.

The modern fields of behavioral economics and experimental economics are showing this is often not the case, though not without debate from traditional neoclassical economists. A person who most conservatives don't like, law professor Cass Sunstein is a leading practitioner, in implementing behavioral economics theories into practice.

I'm not sure why economists should be trillionaires as they are no better at predicting the future than anybody else. Computer scientists on the other hand...

I agree, but than again that would go totally against Fitts' "We are going down the toilet" prediction she was giving all of the previous year/years.

George could just have easily burbled the following:

JFK Conspiracy Guest:  ". . . and, of course, there is the Marina aspect of things."

George:  "I have a friend with a boat in a marina . . . Marina del Rey.  It's a really nice boat.  Big, too.  He's a big-time boat person."

JFK Conspiracy Guest:  "Uh . . . [inner monologue: "Holy shit, he's stupid.  What do I do?  I don't want to make him mad at me.  I've gotta sell this book.  'I can't say, "No, not a boat marina -- I mean Oswald's wife, Marina.'  Oh, no, now what do I do?"]   Well, that's a good point, George.  One theory is that the assassins arrived via Houston on the coast in a boat."  [inner monologue continues:  "Aw, hell.  Did I just sound stupider than him?  But what could I do?"]

Did anyone hear the time that Jorch asked a guest, who was speaking about Sanskrit, if it was called "Sand Scrit, because it's written in sand?" Apparently he's really that stupid.

I thought that incident was apocryphal, However, considering Norry, I could easily believe it to be true. He has some remarkably stupid comments and questions. The one with Celente about "Nelly the singer" last night I HOPED it was a lame attempt at a joke by Norry but I'm thinking was just cluelessness.

He's a regular on the show, actually.  I've always liked him, though I think he believes some weird stuff.

I was anxious to log on here today, wondering if anybody else would say anything about the "Nelly" comment.  Of course they have.
Now this happened after Celente had already mentioned that Connolly's wife was named Nellie.  And don't forget that the Kennedy assassination is one of George's favorite subjects.  Celente must think Noory is an imbecile.

Connolly is conveniently dead, so can't dispute any of these things attributed to him about that day.  Celente indicated that Nellie Connolly was shielding her husband.  A person never really knows for sure, but I don't think that I would be brave enough to do that for my husband.  Maybe men have sensed that, and that's why I'm not married.
