The new Tom Hanks movie, Joorch informed us last night, is to be made available to stream because - and I quote verbatim - the pandemic means it won’t be getting its expected ‘theoretical release’.

To his credit? Not sure appropriate word but Norry recently took a caller bitching about Joose lobby and some banned "film." But it takes years to "check stuff out before we air." And wanted Tommee to "follow up" on the guy who does the "Stephen King killed John Lennon" (for the Bush family etc.) Guy who sneaks in to radio calls. N got thru Norry C2C screeners yet again. Norry liked his gumption and has seen his vehicle signage also when he was Cali, apparently. But I want Norry to get Bill from Madison on about communism and, more importantly, various Finnish issues!

I was looking up selkies yesterday thanks to Decon and came across this definition.  The citations are interesting, wonder if that's how the Finns got their exonym.  In Finnish it is Suomi (of course related to Sami).

Ok he just told a whopper even for him. Is there any chance the story is true?

The guest is a psychologist who has studied 'heroism'. Noory takes the opportunity to tell a little story featuring himself, of course, as a hero. He was at a restaurant in St. Louis, a guy stole the purse of a female patron of the restaurant and took off out the door, Noory doing what any manly man would do, he chases the thief down the street, he's in such excellent physical condition Noory soon runs him down and then tackles him to the ground and holds him down - other people come to help and then the police. They take the thief away. As Noory explained it because everybody knows him in St. Louis he gets a call later that night from the police, they told him the perpetrator was found to have had a 16" knife in his pocket! Jeeze!

somebody please have a way of fact checking this. I am 99% sure it's completely bullshit.

Joorch finally fesses up to the actual size of the Coast audience. We’re back with the live stage show events and Joorch is telling us that Asheville and Houston have been postponed. He is presumably attempting to say that he wants us to know that they are both cancelled, but Freud catches up with Mushmouth who says “I wanted you both to know that.”
But Everett is full steam ahead and Tommee tells us they’re going to install a ‘dance pit’, so people can dance to the music of the forties and fifties before the show.

A MESSAGE FROM DANHEISER/WAGNER ENTERTAINMENT: We at Danheiser/Wagner Entertainment want you to know that the health and well-being of those that  attend our events are the most important things to us, and we hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy in these uncertain times.  We thank you for your support and will do whatever it takes to ensure the well-being of our event attendees.  It is with regret that we have decided to cancel our George Noory Live shows in Houston & Asheville but we hope to see you in Everett, Washington!

Heh, yeah, right.  The fact that the Hobby Center in Houston had already cancelled all events in June, prior to this magnanimous Tommee announcement, had nothing to do with it.

I see snake oil Carnivora is back, this time with a Corona Chan-angle, without actually mentioning the virus.

Is the Tommee senior citizen mosh pit with or without masks?

The Carnivora ads are absolutely illegal according to regulatory laws about advertising nutritional products pretending to be drugs to treat/prevent disease but there is so much of this snake oil out there that people rarely get charged with anything.

The lady who coughed 24 hours a day 7 days a week is clearly a nutcase. She is a grown adult woman, she sounds middle aged and refers to her mum and dad like she is 12. So she describes that she went to 3, count 'em 3, pulmonary specialists and all 3 told her to do nothing. Because of course they found nothing that would cause her to cough 24 hours a day and wisely wrote her off as a mental patient knowing that over time she'd forget about the cough and replace it with another malady to gain attention or whatever motivates these type of people.

and Carnivora like magic healed her cough, placebo effect is strong with the gullible and simple minded.

Yep, good summary.  I wish the FDA would wake the hell up and start going after the charlatans.  The thieves Noory supports, alone, should be enough to keep them busy.

so this theater in Everett WA holds 826 people, the average ticket price is about $75 - gross revenue $62,000. I have no idea how much the theater rental is, $10,000? you know they are paying the guests shitty, probably costs the two big time promoters Dannheiser and Wagner or whatever her name is $5000 to bring them in. Noory probably demands $10,000-20,000 and what's left after expenses is split between them.

lol look how fucking hard it is for them to sell out 800 seats, endless commercials on the show for months. if Noory could really draw people they could do more of these shows in bigger theaters across the country and make good money but Noory can't draw flies.

isn't Everett the place where the first outbreak of Covid-19 happened in a nursing home? average age of that town is probably 70, perfect for Noory.

this kind of crime pays and charlatans know that the odds of them getting in legal trouble are low. I worked in an industry for 20 years, filled with scam artists making millions, about 1% of them ever drew attention from the FTC, 2 guys i knew well did go to jail for running a large email spam operation. Another guy I know has been on the run for years, maybe he's been caught by now but probably not, so many scams, so much money. Another guy paid a big fine, but not considering what he was making with his scams, for hacking into Facebook and getting their email database.

Back before the Bellgab hiatus, there was a "you kids get off my lawn" old guy here who routinely posted about this issue.
As I recall, he was a former radio type (I pictured him as looking like an elderly Les Nessman) who frequently cited chapter and verse the federal rules/regs/laws George's medicalish guests were breaking. He got to be more annoying than the guests themselves, so I gave him the links to file complaints with both FCC and FDA.  That really pissed him off, then he dropped out of sight.

This saddens the wizard. Just think of all the things you could have told him that would have cheered him up!

OTOH, hey, look at all this unclaimed louche someone left behind. Thanks Uncle, I've always loved hanging out around your knees. Here, let me scoop that up from your immediate environment, thanks bunches. This replenishes the wizard in spite of the low quality product. I mean, think about it--if I needed quality, would I have been on Bellgab for nearly seven years?

Buy yourself a beer. Cheers.

Good to see you back, Jack.  The old place lacks that certain "edge" when you're not around

Some of the guests or sponsors have been. Either still under notice and investigations, settled, or some, like SDM, actually imprisoned. I also wonder about the legality of the host having some interest in the supposed "guests" he is interviewing that, at least as far as I know, is not in the interest of the radio company. Maybe Premier/IHate gets a cut or get paid to have guests like Doc Wallet on also? But Norry seems to have expressed some personal financial connection in the MLM. Clyde used to even say something like "groundzerohealth" that linked back to him also but that was when he was on networks, not independent.

Yes, I like to think that both Lisa Lyon and Gnawry cringe a bit when they recall how utterly conned they were by SDM. But maybe they're not even that gracious.

I just don't like that Norry et al don't have the balls to make epic radio and get long-time C2C guest SDM on the show "live from a Federal Prison." Come on. It would be good radio. SDM attempts to do a show from the pen. Give some back for a frequent guest who helped make the franchise with his scams or theories. And Norry frequently claims that he is top listened to radio host by both prisoners and police, so SDM would be a perfect guest in many ways.

Come on, it would be absolutely sickening. Two hours of Morton justifying himself and his crimes. If you want some of that material, Kerry Cassidy has scads of it.

Last night Ghoulish George managed to insert Ted Bundy into the first segment. He seems well versed in the details of Bundy's murders, saying with relish: "He bashed her head in with a crowbar".

I hate the constant lying of the C2C guests. They think they can get away with it because most people have sh**** memories. The second guest said no-one was talking about climate change in 1982. I beg to differ. I stopped watching the idiot box around 1980. At the same time I read a lot of newspapers and listened to a lot of news/talk radio. That island nations would disappear due to rising seas caused by humans, was indeed a topic back then. I'm  embarrassed to say I believed this at the time. I vividly remember trying to convince my co-workers, who were clueless because they didn't read and were addicted to the boob tube. Live and learn. Difficult for me to remember today, that I once actually cared what other people thought.

Did I hear correctly about the dance pit music?  Music from the 40's and 50's?    That must be Norry's audience, 70's and 80's.  Let's dance some polka and wear those bobby socks and poodle skirts.

The flytrap medicine company should go homeopathic, medicine which is based on the principle of minisculization.  Then they might not find the plants so difficult to acquire, since one plant might make 1,000 vials of pellets for sick people.  Homeopathic works!

Yes, George, that language is traumatizing.  And last night's show needed trigger warnings and less would have been more.  He should have left the specific tortures up to the imagination by being vague.  Like saying a pet was hurt, abused and died instead of saying all the sick details.

The town was Kirkland, a 40 minute trip from Everett.  Kirkland is a higher income area, not the richest, but far better than many parts of Everett.  People in Everett average age 35, according to areavibes.com.  Having been in Everett, that sounds right.

Last time I checked what a venue charges, it was more like $4,000.  Don't forget the band!  Don't forget travel expenses!  Don't forget travel-hauling the chairs, table, instruments...  What I don't understand is why they don't hire more ushers and only rent venues that have baby cry rooms.

A woman shouldn't leave a breast-feeding baby alone too long, or perhaps can't find trustworthy childcare, and Noory doesn't come to town every year.  Seeing his performance could be a once in a lifetime opportunity.  And if that opportunity comes while her baby is still breast feeding, then there should be cry rooms like some churches and venues have.  And ushers to remind her to go there.  Where she can hear the show through a microphone in the wall, but no one can hear her or the baby.
