Maybe not in sheer numbers, but in posters who took the time to make intelligent posts that contributed to the forum.  I can name a good dozen people who've left here within the past six months due to the change in the tone of the site.  There are also a fair number who, like myself, now only show up/post infrequently, and then often just for specific threads.  Really too bad, I used to enjoy coming here to exchange ideas and beliefs with others in an environment where bright people could disagree without being disagreeable.

I'm glad you found that here...from day 1, there were always folks that were pretty nasty...but that's what I expected from the internet. Of course, there were more positive than negative, which made me stay around.

You are only the latest of many who have asked that question.  Despite Zsa Zsa's trashing BelGab for months now, MV has turned a deaf ear to pleas that he be banned.  With this Romanian asshole's posting of long drawn out screeds that include lengthy direct quotes one would think MV would do it in the interest of conservation of resources if for no other reason.  He's a resource sump who tries to drown out the conversations of others by manically frequent shit posting..  Below is a post I like to dust off and repost when the occasion warrants.



You on the other hand are the same asshole who last posted on BelGab as "NewStar." who I described as follows: 

   He has a history of haunting and regularly getting kicked off various blogs at which time he goes back to one he has been banned from under a different name.  His pattern upon returning is to generate a flurry of posts wherein he shows some familiarity with BelGab and joins in the criticism of some posters as a way of gaining acceptance by others.  He also creates new threads that he shamelessly touts on established threads as if they were something he happened to stumble over.   

It seems that this troll wannabe is trying real hard to pass himself off as someone who knows something about the U.S. and to give the impression that he might even be an immigrant.  However,  his piss-poor English and inane commentary are a dead give away.  He has no real grasp of our idiomatic expressions or insight into our culture.  I doubt that he has ever been closer to the U.S. than the Russian or Eastern European shit hole he was born in.  His commentary quickly becomes bizarre and stridently hostile to things American and he invariably goes ape shit in responce to those of us who see him for the twisted fuck that he is with a string of expletives that no one outside of a psych ward would put together in any language. No doubt he sees himself as a troll but he really sucks at it and should stick to playing Pong or whatever video game is current in the aforementioned Russian or Eastern European shithole.

As mentioned, he last posted on BG as "NewStar" and was banned from BG around March 19th of this year.  Take a look at his posts on or around that date and you'll see why MV saw fit to eject him."

Perhaps, all, "The Lunch With George Series" is an attempt for Noory to "save face" at "The Great Greek" restaurant at 13362 Ventura Blvd. in Sherman Oaks, California. Maybe Noory sees a way to get sucker listeners to spend their money to have some "honor" of being around the noted Hollywood hanger-on and harasser of celebrities.

So, maybe after being the subject of many complaints from "real celebrities" -- who try to have a meal at that place -- away from obsessed fans, only to run into "you-know-who" -- Noory's plan to have others spend money in that place to justify why they should still let him in there. Knowing him, that seems plausible.

Noory, celebrities go there to get away from fools like you. The rule in Hollywood is  don't bother them. Don't come up them at their table and ask to "pay" for their meals and insult them like they are paupers. Don't ask to have pictures taken with them. Don't follow the male celebrities into the men's room and ambush them at the urinals from behind with all your talk about "I'm famous, too, I have movie ideas, or what you know, about them being on your show and how you think they so are so good" all the time in their films.

Excuse me for knowing that guy's habits, but perhaps that whole "lunch series" is another ploy for that guy to cover for his lack of social etiquette and disturbing the peace of such celebrities. Maybe he figures having fools pay money all the time to that place will keep him from being blacklisted for his unwarranted and impolite impositions on such celebrities.

I probably should apologize for it, but I happen to like Newstar, Jackstar or whatever his names are.  He has opinions about the host we roast.  Jackstar is clever, pays attention, likes to be part of the group, and has a huge sense of humor.  When he goes undercover again, he makes the change obvious, and he acts sad if no one notices.  He has spoken respectfully about people here (usually in the context of a negative comparison but, hey...). I have read almost all his posts just for fun.  I think he can be nasty, but he also uses kid gloves when appropriate.  He probably won't like hearing all this mushy praise so

    I'm back, briefly. I don't get out much anywhere much, except to the one motorcycle mailing list that I've been involved with for ~25 years. This board, is the one other board that I have found of interest and where the players (mostly) seem mature enough, are knowledgeable, and have posts that are readable and make sense. Oh yeah, and humorous too. That's important. OK, whatever, I know, f'in who cares.

    Back to "tonight's show was very bad."
I have noticed that George is getting, and to be kind, a bit lazy in his interviews. Notable was the August 14th show with Peter Breggin. Where he was asking the same question, several times, but with different phrasing. I usually don't listen to "Heaven' Inspirational" types nor "World 'Renounced' Psychic Mediums", so I don't know how the second part of the show goes. And again especially notable on the August 15th show specifically with Cory Cooper on Elvis Presley. It just sounded like he was really stretching the interview and that it could have perhaps just gone one segment, 45 minutes or so. To me, it's a slap in the face to the listeners to have to listen to ineptitude like that. I'd rather hear Steve Quayle espouse on the merits of the Kandahar giant, hopefully without the extreme overdrive that he applies to his microphone. What's up with that anyway. But I digress. Doesn't Noory know what he sounds like or rather is moving into sounding like? I happened upon a very old show, where he sounded bright, his voice was very pleasant and the banter between him and his guest (some Pennsylvania bad spirit topic), maybe around 2004 or so.

    Peter Breggen: For the record, I happen to enjoy listening to Peter. I respect what his online presence represents and what he says makes sense to me regarding SSRI's, other prescription drugs, and their prescriptions of.
