Hoagland told Noory last night that the asteroid's companion object is very bright and shiny, almost like a metallic UFO perhaps?

I'm not sure if Hoagland made note of this, but they imaged it by bouncing radar waves off of it, not visible light from the Sun.  I'm guessing he didn't.

I've stopped listening to Noory or Wells entirely - if it's not Knapp's night it's the Art Bell stream.

I've come to realise that life is too short to listen to a moron leach IQ points from me nightly.

Noory just had Hoagland on again at the start of the show tonight to congratulate him on discovering yesterday the companion/moon of the large asteroid that zipped by earth today...
Now Noory has singer Pat Boone on for a minute to wish him a happy 79th birthday.

Not that I follow Pat Boone, but it's disappointing he didn't have anything better to do on his birthday.

And congratulations to Hoagland for discovering something on the NASA website.

"How evil are demons?"

Did he just ask that?  :o

yep, Noory is very interested in evil demons so he has his regular expert on right now, Father Wingnut?  :P

Noory just told his guest that "there is a lot of hate out there"
Obviously Noory is obsessed and is thinking a lot about his own 'haters' tonight ;)

Listening to Joorch's interviews and guests, I've noticed every damn time he HAS to (at least once) bring attention to himself.  Be it a fellow Gemini with Pat Boone (wtf?), his many stories in broadcasting, or being pals with Billy Mumy/Robert Davi, he truly has no shame.  It's a big tease---you begin listening to an interview and then all a sudden he blurts out irrelevant shit or changes topic/direction.  Perhaps I'm slow to be catching on but his self-agrandizing is painfully obvious.  Starting to become confused on how to feel towards Joorch, angry or sorry.  I'm not sure if he's just wanting to fit in or relate to his guests or just starved for attention---perhaps both?  Me, I'm currently unemployed (underwear and all) residing in my parent's basement tossing out 'hate' spew and commentary.  Just sayin'.   ???

"A Lot Of Haters Out There"

Morgus

Noory as usual is totally unimaginative in coming up with a topic for an open lines special hotline.
Tonight its "scariest story" hotline - he has done that a bunch of times before.
Art Bell's time traveler lines were far superior...

Scully

The Pat Boone birthday interview was so very Noory.  I could almost feel Boone wince when George asked if he isn't a Gemini.  Boone paused and said something like, "Well, I don't  ...  they tell me I am." Evangelical Christians like Boone regard astrological symbols as being "of the devil." Simple Jorch of course was so thrilled about his twin hood that he wouldn't have thought of such a thing even if he bothered to think.

Same thing with the good father on the first hour.  George carried on about "The Rapture" which I have learned from listening to C2C is not biblical at all, but rather a modern day "gotcha" story, and the priest told him so.

The descriptive word that came to mind tonight was "unctuous".  Per Merriam Webster: full of unction; especially : revealing or marked by a smug, ingratiating, and false earnestness or spirituality.  It fits.  :P

HAHA... cockroaches and ants have souls.  Cute Jorch but we know you don't think that.  sociopath

My name is Joshua Abraham Norton V.  I am also known as Norton II, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico.
My Name and Title honors the legacy of my great great great ancestor Emperor Norton I of the United States and Protector of Mexico 1859-1880.
Obviously, I'm a first time poster to this site. I've decided it was time for me to step out of the shadows and be noticed by the posters on this site. You (the posters) have given me some hope that all is not lost. You have voiced my frustrations, so well, of the state of affairs at Coast to CoastAM with (HE WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED) GN. As the present host of C2C, GN has done irreparable harm to a formerly wonderful radio show that would expand the minds of curious listeners all over the world. GN is mediocrity personified!! Did you notice that I didn't say that he was absolutely terrible or "the Worst of all "?
It's deliberate! Mediocrity is the worst. It saps creativity and imagination. Even the worst has creativity, consider Glen Beck.
GN is at worst a mediocre replacement for Art Bell (Praise His Legacy, Not His Name).
Crazy is good! A show like C2C can really PROFIT from an actually interested HOST who can have FUN interviewing the multitude of CRAZY guests that are willing to appear on C2C. George Knapp, Ian Punnet, even John B. Wells can do this. It's all about entertaining us! We are open-minded individuals who love to hear a good story!! Forget about the Left-Right paradigm. Forget about the peer pressure. As the host you, GN, must immerse yourself in all the data you need to give a good, intelligent interview. DO SOME HOMEWORK/RESEARCH, THAT"S YOUR JOB!! It could also be your calling!!! Learning can be fun!
Return C2C to the people!! The people who believe that the world is a wonderfully magic place that needs to be talked about.
If you can't, then pass it on to someone else who can.
I will rarely post, but when I do, TAKE NOTICE!
  Emperor Norton II
Praise The Lord!! I know you are reading this Georgie Porgie!!!

Brilliant. Unctuous Georgie sNoory it shall be.

Welcome, Emp.

And Scully, I enjoy pointing out to my evangelical friends that no one had heard of the Rapture 150 years ago.

...Hoagland on again...Pat Boone on for a minute to wish him a happy 79th birthday.

George calls his daughter-in-law to report on the storms or twisters out where she lives.  She seems normal.  Father Andrew Wingate on exorcisms.  Gail Godfrey on ghost.  These should have been good segments.  The few stories Godfrey was able to tell were good, but with George asking if she had ever experienced anything like the ghost of the "Christmas Carol" (huh?), the best we can hope is for guest that are able to dance around the idiocy.  Speaking of dancing, George filled us in on his Toronto event: "we have a meet and greet, we did the event, and then we had another meet and greet, I danced with some c2c fans, and I sang some songs."  I think singing is all he really wants to do.  Bless his heart.  Did he play "Dancing Queen" instead of the Brother Iz song that he played yesterday?  Why do these little things bug me?  Why doesn't George record his own version of the ufo phil song and really lay the cheese on the cracker?   Why doesn't he record his own special renditions of all his bumper music and drive us all completely nuts?  Who's to stop him?  No one.  He's like...an Emperor.

"Do you know what an Emperor is?  Good, because thats what I am.
Sit down now, because the Emperor is gonna sing some songs..."

Juan

George also shared with us that he does not believe Kim Jong Un is manipulating the weather.  As for anyone else doing it, according to George, "who knows?"

Abby Normal

I woke up just long enough last night to hear Hoagland yammering something about the asteroid that passed by earlier in the day and George congratulating him for his "good work."

Was he claiming credit for discovering this particular asteroid had it's own moon?  Binary asteroids have been well-known for years.

Has anyone calculated how much methane is released into the atmosphere every time Hoagland opens his mouth?

George and Tommy are always sure to look their best.  Is one of them finally graduating from 6th grade?

Does it seem like George bringing up 'thuh haters' more often lately?

why are they in a gym tockeeen to thu childrehhn?

I know this is a little off topic, but reading through the captions on my news aggregator lately, I'm really starting to think Noory has taken over CNN.  Latest headline "Why new virus is so scary."  I really hope what's happening on Coast isn't infectious to other media.

Well, I totally caught up on the whole thread... logged in... and there were no more new posts.

Just sayin'.

You guys are slacking!!!

NowhereInTime

Because the Noory suckitude is spilling into the other threads:
"For Tom Danhesier, Lisa Lyon, Shawn LaDouceur, George Knapp, John Wells, Ian Punnett, and Art Bell..."
GEORGE NOORY SUCKS!!!

soulburner

I'm not entirely sure, but I think I haven't listened to Noory for over a year now. Are there any good shows with him as host? I mean, guests that are interesting enough that it's possible not to notice how much George Noory sucks?

thats typical on the weekends when Noory isn't hosting.
but should pickup tonight since its the start a new month and that means Noory steals the first Sunday night show to host with the submerging artist bumper music.
Noory last week revealed that Tommy just randomly pulls out a few CDs from a big closet where they stash the thousands of CDs the sumberging artists have sent in over the past years...

Not good, but just less bad, with the few guests that talk so much Noory can't interrupt as much such as with the monthly Linda Howe reports...

I do not think that is anything new.  I remember laughing at the avian flu, west nile virus, SARs, killer bees and a whole host of other very real problems that every news outlet across the country would latch onto, flog vigorously for a few months and promptly forget.

I am not saying that SARs, the Ebola virus or bird flu did not or do not kill people.  Just that news organizations have a tendency to overstate the threat.  I assume it is because if I am a good, scared citizen that I am likely to look to them daily to find out what I can do to protect myself and my loved ones, look for the latest information, and see if the scientists have found a solution to the problem.  So long as they keep me on edge they have a willing consumer for their products.

The mainstream media has always found the occasional topic to push and run sensational headlines to catch our attention.  Noory and Wells just find extra things that we can all fear in addition to the usual suspects (vaccination, killer kids on Ritalin, Monsanto, every pharmaceutical company in existence, doctors etc...)

And I was looking forward to tonight.  Why does he do this to us the first Sunday- are 5 nights a week of suckage not enough?

I must have missed the part about just randomly pulling out CDs.  Somehow it does not surprise me based on some of what I have heard them play on air.  My ears actually started bleeding one night and I was struck deaf and dumb for a week as punishment for listening to Noorys submerging artists on coast.  It was only by repenting and a solemn vow to warn the world of the dangers of a Noory hosted coast that my speech and hearing were restored.  I was struck blind for listening to Wells- but that is a story for another time...
