I have all the patience in the world for someone who's disabled. Or an older person who's taking their time. I'll sit there & wait, doesn't bother me. I'm talking about the people who are, as Unscreened Caller said, "sauntering" across the street WHILE THE DO NOT WALK SIGN IS LIT & I HAVE A GREEN LIGHT.

That's just slowing progress, slowing business.  If I was in a car, that'd piss me off too.
To me, it's just like wearing a kick me sign, on the face.

(Omg, Bateman, I'm listening to an old show and I swear that last old lady was you.  "True ghost story in the Bible?" ring any bells? ha haaa)

Haha, wasn't me, but maybe that's why I get through all the time, my ridiculous calls aren't far off from the real ones.

I think your Himmler question was the best of the night.  If reincarnation is real, how do we know that Himmler is not in a new baby?

It just proves George might have been on to something with his "mean baby" question....

Oh, for Chrissakes, you took the words outta my mouth.  Just because a thought pops into your wee little head doesn't mean you have to share it with society.

Mr West,

I must admit you had me worried, I had to read that twice. The first time I couldn't understand why you agreed with me then suggested I have a "wee little head" with too many boring thoughts. HA! As Ian would say, "I am the dumbest guy I know". I didn't kick or punch my fence BTW.

That would be mean of me. :)

Dust. Goddamn do I hate dust.

Anybody e-mailing their Amazon Wish List to me. I feel like killing them with the Anne Rice books on the list.

Imagine putting a 5 dollar book on a...wish list.

Sorry for the confusion, KSM!  No, I COMPLETELY agree with your original point.  Look, anyone can offer up a stinker of a thread.  And it's a free country and a free forum, but foolish new threads are just adding to the cyber flotsam and jetsam one must wade through.  It's like junk/spam email.

Dust. Goddamn do I hate dust.

I happen to live in one of the windiest cities in the Bay Area.
The wind comes up the Bay and up my street and I'm 8 blocks from the Bay.
And I think that's where all the dust in my apartment is coming from.
No matter how much I dust there's this fine ( actually  not so fine, but annoying as hell ) layer of dust on everything in here.
I put a bookcase on top of a bookcase 2 months ago, threw my back out in doing it and cleaned every one of the paranormal and U.N.C.L.E. books off before they were put on the shelf and the entire bookcase with 409 and paper towels and 2 days later dust had already started to cover everything.
When I took my Imac down to the Apple store last week, there was a layer of dust on the case that the Genius bar guy cleaned off for me. I've heard and seen how dust accumulates inside the case of pcs where you have to go in and vaccuum it out and clean all the components.
Where DOES all this dust come from ? And what causes it ?
The prevailing winds here come from China and Mongolia, so I figure its all Communist dust anyway.
;)

I've lived in houses and apartments and have NEVER had dust like I have in this apartment. Its driving me nuts.
And I don't know a solution either.
The dust probably doesn't help me with allergies or asthma either. I have 3 air machines going 24-7 and probably need another one for the living room.

Heather Wade

Talk about dust.  Hell, yeah, man... I have a seething, unhealthy hate for it.

Especially now, taking everything apart to pack, I am finding all the dust I've missed in this place.  No way am I taking even a speck to the little haven I found.  Everything, every little thing in here seems to have dust.  It reminds me of the Bay Bridge painting thing:  it takes 7 years to paint the Bay Bridge, and it must be re-painted every 7 years.  So they paint to one end, and must start painting again the other direction just as soon as they get done.

I have to dust everything, and by the time I am done dusting, it is time to freakin' dust again!

I find this continues to annoy me daily. How can someone have been here just over three weeks and have started 18 threads? 18 threads! And most of them absolutely inane topics not much different than "How much do you like Art?" Jeez Louise, STFU.

There's the crux of the issue. Tone deaf newbies. No sense or sensibility. "Hey I just joined...what do you guys think of Art Bell? Is he good?"   How about a site search, douche.

Not even being the man who sang "Achy Breaky Heart" deserves this as a daughter.

However, having encouraged and pushed your 8-year-old girl to act and dress like a pedophile's dream, and having managed her career so that she presents herself as a nastier and more sexual Lolita, is the kind of behavior which richly deserves  - and almost always guarantees - this kind of daughter. Enjoy every Father's Day, Billy Ray.

Well said.  He gets no pity from me either.
