Heard the news today.  Thankfully San Francisco's bid lost

I'm located in the belly of the beast, within walking distance of Boston Garden and the various proposed stadia on the waterfront that Bob Kraft and Red Sox ownership wants others to pay for. There's NO WAY, this already crammed, overcongested city could ever handle anything that size. Our yuppie mayor wants it desperately for his developer overlords.

In 2004, when the Cardinals played the Sox in the WS, the city's hotels were so overbooked, that the Cardinals were sent off to a hotel roughly 10 miles south of Boston...which takes 90 minutes to get to Fenway during rush hour-which is basically 2pm-8pm). The Baltimore Ravens will be staying in...Providence...not Boston for the game this weekend.

Time for an Aldous / Bateman bro photo opp. Some place warm.

Bateman should interview Aldous on Dark City.

The current crop of politicians will get the credit for bringing the games there.

They'll be out of office by 2024 and someone else will get the blame when it turns into a mess.

Boston just elected it's 4th mayor since 1967 a year ago...so, odds are he'll still be there in 2024, and only half way into his reign. Yay.

That I still feel like a nervous kid before a date. Adult schlamault.

But the self inflicted torture of romance beckons to me so.

In that case; make sure she's clean, has most of her teeth (I assume you're heterosexual, no offence if you're not), can cook, likes satin sheets, and her dad is stupidly wealthy...Than you can't go wrong. Oh, and she doesn't mind being put away wet after being ridden hard.

I might be in trouble.

Millionaires and deca-millionaires with Kickstarter campaigns. David Cross has millions and he's practically Falkie in asking for money.

Catsmile

They didn't get rich spending their own money.

Same with sports team owners who want cities/tax payers; to build multimillion, billion dollar complexes, for THEIR teams.

Hey, some of those stadiums are old and need to be replaced. My God, the Atlanta Braves have to play in a stadium that opened way back in 1996!

His kid's tuition and such...oh, and a movie nobody will see.

I'd rather watch the worst of what David Cross has to offer than the best from Seth Rogen.

But Cross' movie looked pretentious from the trailer and I don't plan on watching it.

If David Cross had died after the first episode of Mr Show, his output would still be far superior to Rogen's.

Rogen will be "serious" filmmaker/documentarian by decade's end.

Rogen is a perpetual disappointment unless he's just a minor supporting character.  He was fine in "Superbad" and well cast as a world class dickhead in "Donnie Darko".  But that "Green Hornet" movie was awful.  As was "Pineapple Express".

I don't see him maturing into anything except a guy who plays minor roles in his friend's movies.

From your lips to Allah's ears.

I have a dread fear of him turning into White House advisor or some shit.

Rogen and Vin Diesel's careers will intersect at some point, and they'll make some kind of sci-fi buddy stoner romcom. Teenage males will love it.

That proposed movie is already a 7.9(and rising) on IMDB, with a 18% Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Still trying to get that last Riddick movie out of my mind and off my shoe.

It has dialogue like, "I'm gonna go balls deep in doll over there, then I'm gonna kill you in five seconds."

We do humanity a disservice by illegitimizing, underemphasizing, and socially obfuscating the value and validity of the psychedelic experience. Fuck all you pussy anti-evolutionary drug war twats!

Frustrated, small-minded people with limited imaginations and vocabularies who say really stupid things in a desperate, pathetic attempt to stay relevant.

Sometimes I fantasize a hunt for his legendary stash, buried somewhere around the Casa Grande, Arizona trailer park where he lived his final years in obscurity.
