I know Phoenix has flash flood problems as I've family in Glendale and they tell me about it. I hope everything's well with you, and if this is the end of a drought, then that's good.

Here's what's annoying me today: I just banned the same pain in the ass troll on the forum I moderate for the 23rd time since August 27th. What makes people so loony they keep coming back? Do they like seeing the line through their names, time after time?  :

No water damage in my house, thank god! We absolutely need the rain! we've been in drought conditions for years, so the extra rain is a good thing. We have had more rain in the past 10 hours than we typically get in an entire monsoon season!

I love penultimate.  One of my fave words.  You don't get to use it often, but when the right opportunity arises, it's perfect.

Your flooded freeway trumps my high-water intersection.     Glad you're not bailing anything. 
Might I suggest Treading Water II.  It just gives it that extra bit of "hoity-toity-ness" that really counts when you need to laugh.
Hope you had some barrels ready to catch some of that precious moisture.

Thanks. I wish I had a rain catching system in place. We really don't get enough rain to warrent the expense. Maybe some day. I do have 2- 5 gallon buckets that were filled in about a minute from the patio roof runoff.

I've had it with the misuse of the word "ultimate", which is resulting in it's weakening meaning.  It's supposed to mean the maximul limit which is impossible to surpass. 

Tell me then, how come I just heard an ad for Lifelock Ultimate Plus.  Plus?  How can you go beyond the Ultimate, I ask you.  It's not possible.  I mean why not call it Lifelock Ultimate Plus Premium Extra Special Super Fantastic?

Don't give Lifelock any ideas, or this is what it will be called shortly.  I would like to add that my version of Windows 7 is Ultimate Plus Premium Extra Special Super Fantastic Business Edition with Service Pack Epic Awesome Amazing.

They did, until we realized we could watch porn on them.  Since then, they've gotten progressively larger.  True story.

The smallest phone I ever saw in person was in Hong Kong in 2006.  It measured about 5cm long, 2cm wide, and a cm thick.  It came with an itty bitty stylus to press the buttons, although the manufacturer intended that people would use voice commands to operate it.
