Say that 10 times fast.

Lucky if I could say it once.

So that's what those little mirrors are for.

Heh heh

No, the common, verbal variety.  Such as, "It's a mute point," as opposed to "It's a moot point."  Or, "I'm very weary of strange dudes," omg the word is leery or wary.  Little things, but annoying.
Here's a good one...the other day CNN anchor Jake Tapper said that the Malaysians were waiting for a "Ha-Ha moment" for the missing plane.

Jesus fuck.

Maybe this is a NYC thing, or a thing in particular areas of NYC, but I can't go to a mall or a supermarket or a CVS and wait on line to check out without having some woman or group of women come up and either stand next to and  in front of me, or position their shopping carts next to and in front of me when there's either no one else on line or else a long line that they ignore. It's obvious they're going to make an attempt to cut in front of me, and they always try because they're counting on getting away with it since to them I look the type to be intimidated being small. On the other hand,  I have a mouth on me plus a complete lack of fear of bully wannabes and I am not easily intimidated. This may be a woman thing, a generational woman thing or something worse but shit, why do 2 out of 5 trips to the grocery or Macy's have to include me telling some socially retarded, opportunistic bitch to get to the back of the fucking line?

Petty, but annoying.

And so ends my rant for today.

Not sure if it's a NY thing, but it sure is not a, where-I-am-at, thing.

I can tolerate a lot of things in this world but line cutters are up there with kiddie fiddlers, Hitler and George Noory apologists.

Yes. They should be shot on site.

Note to financial news channels.  We don't need 8 pundits in little boxes to figure out what happened in the markets today.  It either went up or down - we get it.

Note to pundits in those little boxes.  Obviously talking over your peers is annoying.  However, less well known is that it's also annoying when you smirk, roll your eyes, or shake your head no to undermine your fellow box-pundit's point.

There would be a point to it if they knew what they were talking about a little bit more often.

For someone in teaching, you're very reticent in saying exactly what you mean. Anyone else think the same?  ;)

That will leave a very messy site. I suppose where I work they could be dumped in one of the compactors. Then it would be messy.

I bet the guy in Bateman's avatar smells like Tollhouse cookies.

Well, Yorkie, most of the time the patented Sideways Teacher's Stink Eye works like a charm, and being the shy and retiring type that's my first line of defense. But for those noxious cases, a more direct approach is called for.  ;)

This actually goes hand in hand with another area phenomena in my neck of the woods where assholes pass you and the line of cars in front of you on the right on residential streets because they can't be at the end of that line either and/or are too important to wait. Beware if you have a child, dog or cat crossing the street because I've seen people almost drive into parked cars just to get ahead.

Ahh, gotta love NYers.

Where I live, I have never had anyone cut in line in front of me at the grocery store, nor Macy's, in fact, I and most other people around here are more than happy to let others go in front of themselves if it seems like the person is in need.   I'm glad to be about as far from the east coast as possible.

Juan

Old, fat and crippled people in those electric carts in the grocery stores who drive like maniacs and endanger the lives of the other customers.

Why, thank you. The occasional annoyances by the gavonnes in my area are more than made up by people who are kind and civil. I actually have more stories about them.

Here in WA, I've never had anyone try to cut in front of me. What they do here is walk 4 people across every damn aisle. I was raised to walk single file and leave plenty of room for others. Now it's impossible to walk down a store aisle without having to say "excuse me!" several times.  When you do say it, you get dirty-ass looks like you're the rude jerk. If it's not that, it's the carts people leave right in the middle of aisles. If you stop to get something, pull your damn cart to the side. It's really not that difficult. It's not just younger people doing it either. I shop at the military Commissary for groceries, and a lot of the older retirees jam up the aisles with their carts and their bad attitudes.

VtaGeezer

I'm aggravated by chyrons, network logos, and news crawls on news networks that clutter up screen and often cover the very images they're talking about.  And obnoxious graphic ads for upcoming shows on cable channels that obscure the show I'm watching.

It's the military.. they're imported from NY..  ;D

I am annoyed that Hawaiian law enforcement is arguing they should continue to be allowed to have sex with prostitutes in "undercover" investigations...  I am not kidding, BTW.

It's just an illusion, there are only 2 people - they are just 4 people wide.

Just become a cop and it will be legal for you too and you won't have to worry about it anymore.
