My favorite live Who performance. Originally released as the b-side to "Join Together".

I always liked The Who but was never a huge fan i had Who's Next and a bunch of burned stuff. I feel like i should check them out more thoroughly i probably missed a bunch of good stuff. And I should probably do the same with Rush i only had moving pictures, fly by night and 2112.

The Who's one of my favorite bands and Moon is my favorite drummer.

Did you get the new 5 disc set of the Who's first album, My Generation?  Simply awesome.  Wife got it for me as a Christmas present.  Wanted to get the new PF set too but $500 was a bit much.

No. There wasn't much of anything new on there except for the disc of Pete's demos.

The stereo versions of the My Generation album had overdubs by Pete and Roger recorded in 2014 and that turned me off.

There were just a few songs they would play on the radio that i didn't like i cant remember the name of it but it was really 80's and cheesy sounding, I never cared for Pinball Wizard either. 80's Pink Floyd was pretty shit to though

Different strokes for different folks.  That's the only solo Pete song that I really care anything about.  I have to be in the right mood for it though.

I shit $500 when I unexpectedly laugh. YOUR RENDITION WILL BE SURGICAL.

Ye were warned. Ye were all warned. I warned ye. And what did ye claim?

YE HAVE CLAIMED NAUGHT. PURPURFARGADE ANSKITET LAH.

Jackstar is crude but correct though. I'm a huge fan of The Who but I had to stop buying the archival stuff.  They keep redoing the same albums over and over.

For example you have:

Live at Leeds
Original album.
Expanded edition
Deluxe edition
Super deluxe edition

Tommy
Original album
Remixed version
Deluxe edition
Super Deluxe edition

The only people that listen to music with their eyes are the Autistics on the Steve Hoffman forums.

I only bought the Deluxe Editions of Live At Leeds and Tommy.  I love their early stuff the most so that is why I love the My Generation set besides it only has come out one time previously in a new edition and that was the basic album with some bonus tracks thrown in.  My favorite lp of theirs growing up was the greatest hits package, Meaty, Beaty, Big and Bouncy.

As far as their albums go, I think A Farewell to Kings is overall decent minus Cygnus X-1.

Beelzebub's Tales to his Grandson
TLDR version

You are a stimulus-response machine. You have no free-will, no capacity for original or independent thought and no real awareness or objective knowledge. You will die. You and everyone and everything you've ever known will cease to exist.

I didn't appreciate this song until they played it at the end of WestWorld. *chills*

I would love to hear Monster Magnet do a cover of this song.
