They made us do it in gym class a few years later. They also made us dance to this too:

I think they thought they were being hip and contemporary. It actually was more fun than the usual bullshit that our overweight gym teacher who never participated in the stuff he'd make us do was.  :)

Hahahaha!  I didn't experience that as you did, but I remember the song.  I also remember the girls singing it in in school.  Quite frankly it's been too long to remember the last time I heard that.  Thanks for the memory...I think.  ;) :)
