What's all the hub-bub about?

I'm just used to having to decipher your posts. Trump's presidency is having a positive effect on your diction.  :D

Ha, I knew he look familiar but couldn't place it. Glad to have him in the wings to deal with the Chinese- he also knew how to deal with mysterious Orientals bent on world domination.

Pence couldn't deal with a Chinese restaurant. What's he gonna do, hit 'em with a bible and demand a fortune cookie?

Hopefully he get the one "Help- I'm trapped at a Chinese Cookie Fortune Telling factory" and cause some military escalation! And that he can avoid the Chinese Finger-trap ploy! He has to be wary, those Orientals are wily and inscrutable and often bent on world domination- even though they do have many aphorisms/

Charlie Chan was a smart motherfucker.
OT - my first case DVD rot that I have discovered in my collection was the Charlie Chan film, The Black Camel, which features Bela Lugosi.
Haven't made it a point to replace that disk, but I need to do it quickfast.

I love Charlie Chan movies.
So DVD also can have the rot stuff? I used to get it on Laser Disc but wasn't sure if same phenomena happens with CDs or DVD. Great. I guess there is no fail-safe storage media for family photos, old radio shows, etc? Just use multiple media types and back them all up? But then you get to a point where you have so much stuff that you can't find anything! I know this "cloud" stuff but suspicious of giving some entity, that might or might not fail, all my data.

The Chan DVD is the only one I've discovered ruined in my collection. I was showing my wife the Chan films and I got a hankering to see The Black Camel since it has one of my favorites of that era, Bela Lugosi. When I popped the DVD in the player and it took forever, my first thought was it's scratched. When I took it out I immediately saw the rot.
It would take up too much space to back up the things I like.
Hell, I never got all the stuff I wanted on DVD before Blu-Ray took over.
These days I'm extremely selective with my purchases. Of course it's easy for me to be selective since stores don't carry the stuff I'm looking for anyway. Amazon is great, but I'm one of those people that likes to have the merchandise in my hand.

Trump supporters have jobs and are at those jobs during the work week.

The DC area is heavily black, largely on welfare and heavily leans liberal, as does the surrounding area.  Of course Obama's people would be able to be some where in the middle of the day during the work week.

You may also remember him as Colonel Kessler in "The Battle of the Bulge."

Here here!

Cheers, Meister!

And I'm sure you're looking forward to the repeal of all those onerous, job killing regulations that prevent children from being gainfully employed, constructive members of society in factories that aren't obligated to pay a living wage or provide a reasonably safe work environment. Let's face it, kids today have become flabby and complacent because they have way too much time on their hands, and squander that playing games and texting every insipid thought that pops into their heads to their friends. A little hard work is just what they need.

If only Patrick Swayze were still with us, we wouldn't have had to worry about the Russkies taking over.

That's right. In America the voter is (or is supposed to be) the political elite. We elected a president who "gets it." Don't worry though. That's something I'd never expect someone from a bureaucratic commonwealth country to ever understand. Don't be so jealous though. The queen will still let you faun all over her when she visits your country. She'll probably only steal a few native kids. ;)
