Oh...you didn't read it on Breitbart? You either pulled it out of your ass or read it on some far-right wacko website. Or maybe got it off far-right wacko talk radio. Get out of your pathetic little bubble once in a while.

Only if you get out of your own bubble.

You know what I see when I look around?

I see that Trump won.

We'll see how that works out for the ignorant Trumptards. There's gonna be some major "buyer's remorse" next year.

That has never determined an election...as electors do not have the hubris to vote against the people...so your argument is confusing at best...
I cannot see what has you so confused.  The number of electorates are determined by the population of states in the past.  Why do we need them, when we are the current population that is voting?

Why was the electoral college created if it merely reflects some past population?  Why have another level of voting when it is not needed?

The difference is that these electorates are capable of giving us a president that we, the people, did not vote for, and it would be legal.  It's a path to rig the elections.

How much clearer can I make it for you?

DEMOCRAT LUIS GUTIERREZ THREATENS WAR IF TRUMP ENFORCES IMMIGRATION LAW

If Trump dares to revoke Obama’s DACA executive order, Gutierrez said he will consider it a “declaration of war.” He pledged to not allow immigration reform to go forward “on the backs of” Dreamers.

Yeah, they will be for Trump's kids when he passes on certain information to them so the business can profit from his new position. Maybe by the time Trump leaves office he'll have amassed a 200 billion fortune like his pal Putin.

To give more power to the smaller states.  The United States has 538 Electoral votes,  1 for each member of Congress and that includes 3 for DC.  As of 1911, no more additional representatives can be added thus it puts a ceiling on how many electoral votes a state can have.  We will sit at 538 for the foreseeable future.  The only thing the census does is shift electoral votes.  The changes are only negligible.

The system we have now prevents one state from becoming too powerful.  If the Electoral college didn't exist, the smaller states would have no say.  Do you bother to read what I write or do you just skip over it?

I am wondering if the Far Left, now that they feel we've actually elected a Fascist, may be re-examining the founders' original purpose of the 2nd Amendment, which was to provide a deterrent to a militarized imperial gov't repressing the states by force.

QuoteGutierrez stood his ground against the surprise attack from the IIT senior.

“If you’re in this country and you’re a criminal â€" if you’re a drug dealer, if you’re a murderer â€" then you should be deported from the United States of America. I’ve been absolutely clear about that,” Gutierrez said.

In an interview with “60 Minutes” that aired Sunday, Trump said he would begin by immediately deporting as many as three million undocumented immigrants with criminal records, then make a decision about the “terrific people” who fill the rest.

Ok, when you ditch your bible.

LOL.  It has probably been 3 months since I looked at my Bible.  I'm not proud of it but it is hardly a huge factor in how I think about things.

Oh, it's clear enough.  People just don't agree with it.  Why don't you go read up on it in the Federalist Papers, and get back to us?

Heck, you could even respond to some of the responses made to your posts

No, but you don't make sense.  If a small state has 7 electoral votes from the last census, that represents a certain portion of the population.  Unless there is a huge shift in population, that will also be representative of the voting population in the election.  It does NOT give the state MORE power in the election.  It has 7 votes because that is the proper proportionate number as compared to the entire population of the country.  They really don't change that much.

A populous state will have MORE electoral votes because the state has MORE PEOPLE.

So, the electoral votes represent the population, be it small or large.

There is no need for an electoral college EXCEPT for the fact that the delegates can vote for other than the choice of the public.
