That's just politics. It's very difficult to prove someone lied, in the sense of knowingly telling a falsehood. Even Trump has got the benefit of the doubt in that area. Whatever the intentions behind it are, I doubt your average red-hat-\wearing Trumphole views the browning of America with equanimity.

Yes, I'm being Yorkie for the day.

Yeah, I get all that.  Politics as usual.

I was specifically referring to the caliber of the lies.  Trump's lies are those of an unpolished blowhard.  Some of these other lies are grossly damaging to the body politic, and are orders of magnitude worse - in every aspect.

Telling people ''Mexico is going to pay for the wall, and they'll love it'' simply does not compare to Nancy Pelosi telling a roomful of recent immigrants that ''Donald Trump wants to make the country white again''.  Yet which one will the Yorkshire Puds point to?

All the Benghazi lies, the email server, the FBI spying on Trump...magnitudes worse by far!

And Trump gets blamed for some flakey Starbux manager calling the cops on two blacks.

Because of course CEO Howard Schultz wasn't going to take responsibility for his organization's deficits, now was he?

President Trump’s rhetoric on race has “given license to people to feel as if they can emulate and copy the kind of behavior and language that comes out of this administration,” says Starbucks Chairman Howard Schultz https://t.co/fxpGkEjPBZ https://t.co/i1R0zExvNc

I thought cops decided who gets arrested.

Who knew Starbucks had the authority to place people under arrest. Next time someone breaks into my home I guess I’ll call Starbucks. Next time there’s another inner city riot we’ll send in Starbucks.

Maybe Rosanne should go on CNN and blame Trump for her tweet. Oh wait they alread have. Shocker.

Too late. She already blamed Ambien. The manufacturer said racism isn't one of the known side-effects...but could it be one of the unknown side effects? ???

It’s not the browning of America that bothers me.  It’s the uncontrollled waves of the undereducated and needy that have been entering our country illegally for the past 70 years or so.  Europe is just now beginning to experience what the U.S. has inflicted on itself through a combination of a prevailing greed for cheap labor and air-headed idealism.  By any calculation the price we pay in the form of added welfare, medical and education costs far exceed the contribution these illegals make to our economy.  Those on the left who benefit from acquiring many loyal voters by this means are quick to brand as racists those of us who can do the math and worry about the sustainability of our prosperity and well being as a nation while continuing to function as a dumping ground for the poor and unwanted of the world.  Of course this tactic is straight out of Rules for Radicals and is used by those who have no understanding of the problem nevermind solutions.  It is the fallback of those who have their heads firmly stuck up their ass when it comes to any departure from their leftist indoctrination and the good feels they get from fancying themselves a defender of the downtrodden of the world, even to the deterioration and ultimate destruction of their own country.

I agree...Accusing Ted Cruz's dad of helping to assassinate JFK; Making the racist comment that a judge (Born in Indiana) was biased because he was "Hispanic' (Presumably anti orange?), making the totally unfounded allegation that Obama had wire tapped him, the recent debunked (and agreed by of all people Trey Gowdy) that the recent allegation that the FBI planted a spy in the Trump campaign wasn't based on fact, the pandering to his base with his racist and xenophobic tacit approval of such; The hanging his hat onto Alex Jones who pedals the made up (Yes, the guy who made it up admitted it and said he was amazed at how it spread) story about Hilary Clinton eating children, Shooting his fucking mouth off on stuff he hasn't a clue about that matters, is far far more damaging.

And yes, his base would love that the USA was white only. He might not yet, but if it makes his crowd cheer him, he'll go along with it. And what a fucking child him telling the brethren in TN how the Clinton crowd wasn't as big as his! Why is obsessed with crowd sizes and viewing figures? Does he know it isn't an official soap opera he's performing in?

He is playing with facts again. Illegal immigration started to decline as soon as Trump was elected(but not yet in office). But then it started to rise back up once the courts overstepped their bounds on immigration policy. There have been ups and downs since then depending on the news dealing with subjects like DACA.

Economics has something to do with it, and crime levels. Despite Obama's exhortations for illegalimmigrants to come across if there were less jobs, less would come, and when the cartel violence was at its worst it also caused some hesitancy for those to try or, unlike normal years, to "go for it"  and stay. (In the past, it was usually male workers who would come for work and remit money back home and even return home for holidays or seasons, often even using ICE for free transport, but under Bush/Obama years (drug war and cartel disruption) increasingly bringing their brood  with them and staying over.

I didn't say it was acceptable; As one of the very few on this forum who has been through the very expensive and drawn out filing to completion of a green card I resent that I have willingly done it and some don't, but that's how it is. However, I can understand even if I don't condone anyone trying to get into USA without that bureaucracy, expense and a lot of 'hurry up and wait'.

But ultimately the USA is a country of immigrants, and always has been. Even the native Americans weren't the original settlers. You use an I-phone? Thank Apple, founder of whom's father was Syrian. Unlike most on this forum I have been lucky to travel the world a bit, and met people just like you and me. All they want is a decent job that pays enough to feed their family, a home to put them in and decent education for their kids...They despise politicians just as many do. That's it, that's their aspiration, so if gangs and traffickers are causing their lives to be a misery and they're terrified of having their families murdered, can you seriously blame them for wanting to escape that? What would you do if you were in that position?

Sure. Looking at DNA and historical record there are few, if any, areas that haven't been subject to invasions, migrations, etc. So? Does this mean that an areas shouldn't look out for their own interests? Curious if you have a fence or lock your doors ever? (Back in the day we didn't actually, but that is an aside.) Is there such a thing as a country without a border? A nation without some commonly held language, belief, rule of law, religion, customs, mores, or something? And how will the "3rd World" be helped if the honest, hard-working, good people, and capital, real and intellectual, flee to other countries? Except to cause more destabilization, problems, and fleeing?
