Nah, the store in question is owned by the Jabours for decades. Though now facing some competition from Houston's family of liquor stores who moved into the Austin market breaking a brokered, unofficial territory "agreement" in the past (or so I've heard.) So now they are counter-attacking and opening stores in Houston*. Also involved, possibly, in the Yassine stuff (brothers using bars to cheat taxes and possibly other things) and was busted by the IRS/FBI but I think settled. At least the retail stores are still around.
