Thanks! I love your avatar.

It's always so awkward when they don't [quite] say it back.

From Blinky in the North Ward, in Kearney, New Jersey, this one goes out to Spikegirl in Manhattan. Blinky said, "Casey, can you ask her if we can work something out?"

Well, Spikegirl?

this thread just broke the 7th level of awesome.

Hey asshole on eBay, tryin to snake my high bid on the NOS tortoise shell plectrum from 60's. Hey. F.U. I win.

There's nothing like a real tortoise shell pick. eBay usually notices and pulls the auction, hasn't been legal to sell them since the early 70s. Been waiting for another to slip through. Seen individual picks go for 80+ bucks easy.

by dumping progressive and moving to AAA, i've saved exactly 50% per month for exactly the same level of auto insurance coverage.

look into that if you're with progressive.

In the same voice as George Bailey of It's A Wonderful Life:

Happy Hurricane Season, everybody!

Thank all gods that Summer vacations are around the corner.

I certainly will, since those fucks didn't want to pay for a factory windshield replacement on my car.

Since we are forced by law to purchase auto insurance, they should be forced by law to use factory parts WHENEVER possible. And by factory, I do not mean first trolling the junkyards for used factory replacement parts either. I mean NEW.

I can't talk about this any more than that, because an artery WILL BURST IN MY BRAIN, due my own experience with this.

Agreed.  Especially for those of us who drive expensive cars, and all indications are that the original part does make a difference.

Guild consistently posts the hard hitting shit, but the use of the word plectrum deserves extra points!  Smoke and be free mi amigo!

hey, thanks, aldous! you just reminded me to pay for that shit!

My website is up

www.mitchelljdoran.com

I haven't made a website since my last basic HTML jaunt in 1998. It's not a good website. It's more of a vehicle for music I've worked on.

The one song with Geoff Tate singing is old, from 2006, but I play a decent guitar solo in it. If you scroll down on the music page, there's a newer song called "Fire in the Sky (Alien in the Freezer)"

Just thought I'd share.

the above was by no means influenced by bias news media looking to further polarize a issue to improve ratings and subsequent ad sales. nope

Zimmerman knew and Martin flew?

Wish that made sense, as it's all I can think of when I read the name Zimmerman.

ziznak

They were both at fault... lil Tray had his probs and so did zimm.... just two peple that were in a way destined to come into an unfortunate situation... unavoidable in my eyes

There are no coincidences.

Zimmerman is getting a high-powered lawyer from Orlando who specializes in murder trials.  The special prosecutor, IMHO (which means In My Humble Opinion for you government agents trolling) is a power mad controller.  Her actions in Jacksonville are drawing lots of complaints from the African-American community that she locks up too many people, and from the folks concerned about the cost of government, who say she charges defendants with multiple counts, then brings them to trial one at a time.  They say she is trying to bankrupt the defendants into guilty pleas, but that she is actually bankrupting the county with all the trials.

Thanks!!! I am really good friends with Lynn, the drummer from meat beat. We have a band sort of. We mostly smoke reefer and miss rehearsal. And then play Robin Trower covers for hours, when we do get together. I love it!

Really though, we are writing music together for an EP that will come out soon. My wife and I were in a band together that was signed to warner's once upon a time, called Snake River Conspiracy (she was the lead singer, I played lead guitar). I really feel that those two sounds, MBM and SRC will cross pollinate well in this one big thing. Kind of like a fucked up Fleetwood Mac on acid... IF FRANK ZAPPA was managing and Peter Green never left the band.
