I can't take credit for having Marc Almond on the back burner.  Eddie Coyle mentioned him on the Bullshit thread very recently. At the time, I made a sideways joke about Marc Almond only coming out at night, referencing Winter, but blatantly (and hopefully transparently to anyone following) misconstrued with Allman, which was all being quoted by "an old man" (Anton LaVey from my POV) via Hotel California lore, pink Crocs, and the Church of Satan.

It was the bullshit thread after all and relaxingly convoluted referencing. There may have been a little drinking involved.

Frankly, I'm a little bit surprised you are linking the things now as to how I was fragmenting in the BS thread, unless you are half  lit.  It must be the Almond/Allman aspect? And you mentioned Winter, too.  (get outta my head, man)

I now feel the need to bring up Tom Petty and Tilda Swenton.

And Ophelia Frump just because.

But that Mark Almond album you found ... it looks like a scene cut from Police Woman.  Are you sure that's not a dry run of England Dan and John Ford Coley or something before they were "cleaned up"?
