I downloaded my first game app.  Starbucks had those freebie cards which I usually ignore, but grabbed one for the hell of it. It's called Monument Valley. I love it. Crap, I'm hooked. Such a beautifully designed game. I've never been a gamer but tried playing a few.  I'm constantly blown away by the beautiful graphic art and design.

I lost interest in gaming a few years ago. The games that were around when I still played were quite amazing. They looked like a feature film and sounded like one too!
I'm sure the new console games & cloud based stuff is even better.

Someday I'd love to get into sound  design for video games! That would be a blast! (No pun intended) ::)

Hey that's awesome Chine, you captured me doing my high score dance.  :D

The purist in me doesn't like the "chips" but, then again, the ability to get so many games in your arcade machine is awesome! Draw back is not some of my favorite games (due to some controls being central to the original games.) I would love to get a Tempest machine. Loved that game. But a table-top Space Invaders, and Standup with the "chip" for many games, foosball, and an original Vectrex (lost the screens! though over time) round up my game room. Pinball would be nice but $ and losing space!

MV/Liberace!

A client of mine was headed down the highway when a bird struck his antenna:

That's great Popple!

Popple's gifs are the best.

Eddie, a dear friend of mine who is an amazing gamer, played 'Thief' which I thought was extraordinary. The sound effects and visuals took my breath away.

So, I finished Chapter One of Monument Valley and almost had a panic attack while trying to find the following chapters. Phew. Onto the next. It has a mystical/metaphysical storyline... As you travel through Ida's (main character) dream. I'm in love with this game. There is exquisite architecture in it, and it shifts as the landscape changes while she wonders through her journey. It's a wonderful exercise in observation.

Wow, cookie cutters sure have changed. ;D

Posting from Whole Foods. I don't come here ever. The entire place is filled with nothing but granola girls and Asian youth. It's surreal.

This is the only place in town I could find alfalfa sprouts for sale. The bag says they're from Idaho.

I'm assuming this is the old classic PC game Thief?  That was such a cool game.  One of the first to be about stealthy play, and also to have sound as an important part of the gameplay.

I hadn't heard of that yet but just checked it out and it looks intriguing.  I love atmospheric games like that.

There's a new Thief reboot. It's not too bad. It's very pretty. I don't see Chine banging around on an old 486 DX50 or anything. I am guessing Xbone.

Well lucky for you, it went over like a lead zeppelin. It was on sale a few months ago for like twelve bucks and I was all,

I forgot about the S.N.A.G.s, too--the Sensitive New Age Guys. There were not very many of them present, probably because I was there around raid time. But there were a few, with their socks and their sandals and their ninteen-dollar-a-pound organic pesto. Jesus.

Is there a follow up shot where dude has been reduced to a large, red spot?  I don't need to see it.  Just asking.
