Twilight Zone and suburbia

I swear my mostly white middle class neighborhood  (am white too) could be a model for the Twilight Zone.  Folks are nice (but nervous)  on the surface, even skittish, (why??) and underneath god knows what.  Too many right wing Christians who are soooo darn nervous and suspicious....what a shame.  It could be so nice and friendly without all the pitbulls, power mowers for 100 square feet of grass (cmon!), pesticides, trucks and concrete.   Why are people so suspicious?
I blame main stream media that makes everyone feel the world is a bad, fearful place.

Does anyone have a favorite Twilight Zone show about surburban paranoia?

A poetic post.  Are you suspicious of the suspicious?

my favourite twilight zone about sub-urban paranoia is the one where the woman is living in sub-urban housing and she is paranoid the devil coming to take her. then robert redford shows up and says 'hey dont be paranoid about dying, its actually alright'. i love a happy ending (for death).

GN also likes this episode, cus he knows what its like to suck the life out of people.

good to see that avatar around here again, dan.

Actually, there's an episode that expresses exactly that sort of creepy suspicion in a small white picket fence suburbia. One of my favorites as a kid...(oh God..I sound like Noory.) Anyways, here's the wikipedia page about it.
