There is no reason why we need some elaborate software and machinery for something as simple as a vote. And need to outsource to all these questionable companies. Unless there is another reason to do so. And possibly why it appears the majority of politicians, in both Parties, want to see these complaints and stories 'go away' and call it 'fake news.'  Imagine how many Bond issues, local elections, judicial elections on a more State/Local/City level might have used these potentially hackable or easily manipulated voting systems and software.

All the better for obfuscation and chicanery.

Couldn't agree more. It should be a simple thumb print and overseen by the national guard. I mean, if voter fraud poses a national threat to this country, I don't see it as being all that difficult to execute.
