Hedges even had a nice quote for you. He said that we should not ask "who killed Kennedy, but rather what killed Kennedy." It's like he knew I was going to post it to Bellgab for you.  ;)

I'm surprised he knew anything at all, after that night we spent together in Tijuana. I must have made... an impression.

Speaking of impressions, I spotted you as one of the old gang very early on--but as yet, I haven't quite placed your moniker. I guess you didn't make much of an impression--or, you're very good at hiding with your tail between your legs. Remember... wipe front to back, K? Do something for the planet.

This post/plot didn't get the attention it deserved. We are waiting, with bated breath- (so we, also, can say "I can't breathe!

Oh I have a special busload of diminutive twerking Mexican homos, most of them illegal of course, and supremely femmy in that limpwristed way that only a tiny Latin can be, coming for you.  You will never dare shoot them because they are so fucking adorable.

People should recall that the "left" was one of the first who used to complain about "deep state" and "deep politics." Peter Dale Scott especially out of Canada/Berkeley. And then, even more 'fringey' Mae Brussell. Now the "left" (established, not necessarily the ones in the street but in the Party) support it! And support the CIA/NSA/DIA/FBI/etc/etc because "Orangeman Bad." Weird times.

ps: where was/is Chomsky on NLP and Sapir-Whorf Hypothesis? Isn't his former background in linguistics before his political meanderings?

Yeah he is a linguist but Sapir-Whorf is mostly discredited now since it has some pretty disreputable origins in the cultural-supremacy arguments -- Sapir (who was a giant hero in preserving native languages along with Franz Boas and therefore can not be touched) officially had nothing to do with it.

True. Limiting the debate parameters. He also mentioned the ideas of the "Overton Window" (though it is debatable like Hegel et al with other theories if original idea(s) is the same as used now. That is, some were describing ideas or process that would naturally happen versus a purposely driven systemic "plot" or intention.)

Oh the Overton Window can easily be demonstrated!  It is the whole reason why American dairy is substandard:  if you want to increase profits, just gradually shift the meaning of words like "butter" and "sour cream" so that they eventually mean different things depending on which side of the Atlantic you are on.  Honestly this makes me so hot -- I can feel my face flushing and my little hands balling into fists as I type -- that a Danish husmor's butter cookies will be unambiguously better than mine, will taste better, crisp up nicer, she can put them in a tin without thinking knowing they won't spoil, just because her plain old cheap grocery store butter has higher fat and lower moisture.  Why, in the greatest country on earth which I love dearly, we do not have the richest milk, the sharpest cheese, and the most slurp-worthy sour cream rends my very soul.  Forget BLM and MAGA and all that nonsense; we must break the stranglehold of Big Butter for America to be truly great.

There... I found it and am rewatching it now. Well worth listening to him as he talks about corporations, the cult of the self, religion, idols and a little on Trump. (He dislikes him. But to be fair, he despises Biden as well.) Throw in his hatred of the press (he hates the press as much as anybody here) as well as talk of how free trade gutted the working class. He talks of war and the decline of an empire and hope.

It's funny. I would say that I agree with around 80% of what he says. And I would certainly say that he and I are on what is portrayed as "opposite" sides politically. I think that we both want to "overthrow" corporations. I think that we differ in how to do it.

An hour and twenty-four minutes dude if he's not going to rip his shirt off and play the trumpet I got no time for his political philosophy.

Come up with a snappy name for this and we can add that plank to the ever growing, steadily expanding and wide ranging Campaign Platform.  You will of course have my full support in this Dairy Reform thing.  I would like to end the practice of dumping perfectly good milk into the garbage simply because the price is too low, if that nonsense is still going on.  Maybe let hobo cheese, butter and sour cream artisans have access to the raw material on a commission of sales basis or something?

Oh hobo cheese God help me it's genius!  Curdled in a garbage can, wrapped in junk mail, aged in drainage culverts jealously guarded for their unique olfactory properties, sold on street corners or out of hidden campsites passed by word of mouth YASS take that France!

Nah! I’d be too worried about the urine bags. Besides, I’d only do it if I could wear my MAGA hat without fear of reprisal. I have this crazy dream of a world where people can do stuff like that.

Taking note, the official MAGA posture is defeatist, defensive, and frightened.

It’s often made with hydrogenated oils and is horrible for you. Butter is far superior.

The Dairy Industry is crazy politically. All over the world. So much subsidies, lobbyists, dire predictions from environmentalists, cut-throat competition, tariffs, regulations, and THEN you get into the historical Oleo/Butter Wars! African countries right now are claiming Europeans are killing them because of imported powdered milk. The "New NAFTA" is being really bitched about by the Canadian Dairy industry.

Yeah the standards for what can be sold as milk cream butter etc. are set I think by the FDA and clearly reflect lobbying with profits in mind.  Now I can buy imported butter at a premium, or various "European-style" butters put out by Big Dairy but those standards are not of course regulated and it is a crap shoot as far as what you are actually getting.  We need to do like Europe where the percentage is proudly displayed on the label as indicating the quality of the product, but Americans have been so scared of fat by health experts that truth in advertising like that would actually be detrimental to sales.
