Doesn't anyone at Coast to Coast notice this?

I've been listening to Coast to Coast AM regularly for the last eight years. Like most people here, I'm disappointed in the current dumbed-down state of the show, and it's clear that George Noory is at the heart of the problem. Unfortunately, it seems the stupidity has even taken over coasttocoastam.com. Nearly every day when I check the website, the brief synopsis under "Tonight's Show" or "Show Recap" has a missing or misplaced comma in the sentence. It occurs in the "Featured" news story section as well.

This has been going on for at least a couple of years. Yeah, it's trivial, but it bugs the hell out of me every time I see it. I mean, it's basic grammar... and it's so blatant. Wouldn't you think someone involved with the show would have noticed this by now? Have any of you ever noticed it?

Anyway, here are some examples I just grabbed from the site:

-Television producer and theologian, Patrick Heron will discuss his work researching references to the Antichrist in the Bible including how it relates to the Nephilim, the United States, and prophecy.

-First hour guest, psychic medium Marla Frees talked about her abilities to sense the dead, as well as to communicate with animals.

-Medical sage, known for his work on the healing power of prayer, Dr. Larry Dossey will discuss premonitions, and how the mind is much more powerful than conventional science reports.

-'Horse leg extensions' created by a Seattle designer are allowing people to walk around 14 inches taller. The designer, Kim Graham says the legs "give a person the uncanny and graceful appearance of an animal." More at Ananova.

That is a very asttute observation.  My comment is that the proof is in the proofreader.  If the show is in dumb-down mode, then it follows that the respect for writing and grammar have gone south, too.

One of MANY problems related to the show. Keep in mind, George is trying to be on television AGAIN, despite sucking at his current gig. Broadcasting is the worst business. No matter how dumb or fake, you can have a job! Noory + Carrie Purrrrjean = hosting match made in hell.

How is he trying to get on televison again?  I have not been listening to the show much during the week, so I might have missed it.  Is it anything new or reruns of  The Unexplained?

lets re-clarify this.. with tv george reads lines and does not have to think... he can do it in 1 take or 20 as long as the final product sounds really believable.

That is the difference with george on coast, he has to think, and has to do it live.

If the show was prerecorded, and edited a bit, I'm sure they could make george sound more intelligent... but its not..

I listened to last nights show due to working on coaststream.com again...  the only reason I do ADMIN EDIT is for those that can not afford or "afford" to pay for streamlink, or are not willing to pay for it... I fall into both.... its not that I can't afford it.. I just know the real value of the product...

Oh angeleyes. Brace yourself for this. George said on Friday night that the economic collapse is the reason SciFi cancelled his show. He said that "another BIG network is working with us. When I have the info I will definitely announce." Now this takes big balls because it assumes that he will either 1. get the gig or 2. not get the gig because networks can't afford expensive George Noory and his quality stuff. BARF!

I braced myself, but that was still not enough, the economic collaspe, huh!  The reason that they did not pick up the pilot was because it sucked.   I did hear something about them working on something for the past two weeks but I was only listening to the show as background noise and did not hear the details.  My take on it was that it was some sort of documentary that may have featured Coast during a portion of the show and that it will be aired this fall.  I did not think it was another pilot where George was the main character, and then again I may be wrong.

I think we need some sort of macro for the above phrase - we all use it so often!

Ironically enough, here's the recap of last night's show from the website:

Dumbest Generation

Professor of English at Emory University, Mark Bauerlein will discuss why the near total immersion in the digital world has made young people less interested in the world around them, and how this jeopardizes our future.

Come to think of it, I wonder if that how George views his guests as simply background noise.  That would explain a lot of the Hmmms.

Here's the show recap from yesterday. It's crazy that the webmaster of such a popular site is allowed to make the same glaring mistakes day in and day out. I don't expect Mr. Noory to notice these mistakes. Ian Punnett is a sharp guy, though, and a bit of a linguist too... I'm guessing he doesn't read the Coast website too often, because he'd probably want his radio show to have a better representation than this:

Appearing during the middle two hours, founder of the Global Consciousness Project, Roger Nelson discussed his efforts to scientifically quantify activity of consciousness in the world.

First hour guest, food safety expert Jeff Nelken shared an update, noting that bacteria can be found in reused shopping bags, as well as on shopping carts.

I watched "Unexplained" today for the first time man and to be honest, I'd rather listen to George live. You can't enjoy his little idiotic statements, and he's just as dry and boring. Plus he just hauls the usual C2CAM guests onto the Sci-Fi channel and they're generally just as lame as on the radio program. As long as the UFO/Conspiracy crowd is headed by people like "Snoory and Company", they'll never be taken seriously. It's like their ultimate goal is to not be taken for goofy loons but they just fuckin do that all by themselves.

About the whole "comma" thing, that IS a very astute observation. I would never have noticed myself, and I proofread a lot of ridiculous things. Kudos, miguel.

I had to quit reading the c2c website a while back.
But I've made a habit of avoiding Noory's crypto news, his  grammar is just appalling.
Doesn't he read the copy before hand? Who actually writes this crap? It is truly bloody awful. I can't believe he has spent his life in media, how does that happen when he is absolutely pathetic at actually communicating?
Wow. That rant has been brewing for a while.
