How Moon uses the name of the Treaty in a deceptive manner.

During the war the Japanese military had their Emperor pretty much under house arrest. The Emperor did not want war with the U.S. to begin with and encouraged his ministers to find a way to end it. This did not go well with the Japanese military that was under the delusion that they could defeat the U.S. and it was their destiny to control all of Asia.
During the occupation of Japan after their surrender to the Americans it was the military forces under McArthur  the Japanese military had to deal with on a day to day basis. The Emperor had no say whatsoever so there was no reason for the Japanese to give any sort of bribe to the Emperor for his cooperation. Dietrich is a lying piece of shit.

You are correct. When I was in college history we had to write a mid-term paper on Macarthur. We had a few choices but they all had to do with aspects of his military career at certain points and how they influenced outcomes for better or worse.

Since I had previously submitted a paper on the Japanese occupation of the Philippines and the mistreatment of Allied POWs, I chose to focus on Macarthur's involvement both before King surrendered to the Japs and afterward.  I remember being very critical of his involvement regarding the Philippines in the early stages of the war.  Later on, I researched the occupation of Japan under Macarthur.  At one time he had nearly 500,000 troops stationed there under his command.

He would "visit" the Emperor every six months or so.  He protected the Emperor from prosecution and did many other things I disagreed with. I have never found any accusations that he took bribes on behalf of the Emperor!  What Dietrich and Moon are doing is bullshit.  My guess is that Moon is not actually researching any of this himself and is simply parroting Dietrich's claims. 

We will have a better idea after tonight.  But I think this is all a load of bullshit in an attempt to substantiate Dietrich's claim the Japs won the war etc. 

The Treaty of San Francisco signified the end to the Allied occupation of Japan, NOT an end to hostilities.  Japan's unconditional surrender in 1945 was the end of that.

Correction. McArthur did not accept any bribes from the Japanese. What for ? He had nothing to gain and everything to lose by accepting bribes and if discovered he would be seen as a traitor.
He could have had the Emperor executed if the President of the United States gave the O.K. and most Americans wanted to see Hirohito hanged for crimes against humanity. The reason the emperor was spared was so that the Japanese would not resist the occupation and it was also part of the backroom deal that was made to get the Japanese to surrender "unconditionally" . The Japanese populace still regarded the Emperor as divine and saw themselves racially superior to all others in the world. The Japanese military wanted to kill their emperor for wanting to surrender to the Americans but even they saw the hopelessness of their situation and decided to accept the shame of defeat. Some of their officers committed suicide.

That is why Macarthur blamed much of the Japanese militarism and war crimes etc on Hideki Tojo.  Tojo was the one who wanted a "preventive war" against the US as Dietrich claims actually happened.

Additionally, Tojo wanted all of China to be under the rule of the puppet Wang Jingwei, planned to buy Macau and East Timor from Portugal and to create new puppet kingdoms in Burma, Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and Malaya.[64] As the Burmese had proved to be enthusiastic collaborators in the "New Order in Asia", the new Burmese kingdom would be allowed to annex much of north-east India as a reward.[65] The Navy for its part demanded that Japan take New Caledonia, Fiji, and Samoa."

Tojo was sentenced to death on November 12, 1948, and executed by hanging 41 days later on December 23, 1948, a week before his 64th birthday. Before his execution, he gave his military ribbons to one of his guards; they are on display at the National Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, Florida.[111] In his final statement, he apologized for the atrocities committed by the Japanese military and urged the American military to show compassion toward the Japanese people, who had suffered devastating air attacks and the two atomic bombings.[112]

Historians Herbert P. Bix and John W. Dower criticize the work done by General MacArthur and his staff to exonerate Emperor Hirohito and all members of the imperial family from criminal prosecutions. According to them, MacArthur and Brigadier General Bonner Fellers worked to protect the Emperor and shift ultimate responsibility to Tojo.[113][114][115]

According to the written report of Shūichi Mizota, interpreter for Admiral Mitsumasa Yonai, Fellers met the two men at his office on March 6, 1946, and told Yonai: "It would be most convenient if the Japanese side could prove to us that the Emperor is completely blameless. I think the forthcoming trials offer the best opportunity to do that. Tojo, in particular, should be made to bear all responsibility at this trial."[116][117]

The sustained intensity of this campaign to protect the Emperor was revealed when, in testifying before the tribunal on December 31, 1947, Tojo momentarily strayed from the agreed-upon line concerning imperial innocence and referred to the Emperor's ultimate authority. The American-led prosecution immediately arranged that he be secretly coached to recant this testimony. Ryūkichi Tanaka, a former general who testified at the trial and had close connections with chief prosecutor Joseph B. Keenan, was used as an intermediary to persuade Tojo to revise his testimony.[118]

A Nagoya University professor is working on a book about the life of the late U.S. Brig. Gen. Bonner Fellers, who played a major role in absolving Emperor Hirohito (known posthumously as Emperor Showa) of responsibility for Japan’s wartime aggression across Asia.

The movie “Emperor,” currently showing in domestic theaters, portrays Fellers, the main character, as a kind person who was sympathetic toward Japan. But Haruo Iguchi, a professor of international politics at Nagoya University’s Graduate School of Environmental Studies, described him as a “tremendously ambitious man who posed some danger to both Japanese and American governments.”

During World War II, Fellers served as military secretary for Gen. Douglas MacArthur, Supreme Commander of the Allied Powers, and traveled to Japan with him after its surrender in August 1945.

Tasked with investigating the Emperor’s war responsibility, Fellers conducted hearings on Japanese government officials and advised MacArthur to leave the Emperor in place, saying that it would be in the interest of the United States to use Hirohito’s charisma while occupying Japan.

In a memo to MacArthur, he wrote that the Emperor had no authority and that if he was convicted as a war criminal, a general uprising would be inevitable. The Emperor’s name was subsequently stricken from the list of men to be charged as war criminals.

Well, Dietrich makes Hirohito to be a military genius whos biological warfare tactics brought America to surrender!  Tojo could never have hidden evidence of that! Perhaps Macarthur was very aware of what happened to the German population after surrender!  The Japanese certainly were!  And contrary to some accounts, the Japanese were not prepared to fight to the last man, woman and child with bamboo sticks!

Once the Soviets invaded Manchuria and the bombs dropped, it was all over.

No, that was not the case. Much of this was discussed in conferences at Yalta and Potsdam.

Stalin agreed to enter the fight against the Empire of Japan "in two or three months after Germany has surrendered and the war in Europe is terminated", and that as a result, the Soviets would take possession of Southern Sakhalin and the Kuril Islands, the port of Dalian would be internationalized, and the Soviet lease of Port Arthur would be restored, among other concessions.[16]
For the bombing of Japan, agreement was reached on basing American B-29s near the mouth of the Amur River in the Komsomolsk-Nikolaevsk area (not near Vladivostock as earlier proposed), though this did not eventuate. General Antonov also said that the Red Army would take the southern half of Sakhalin Island as one of its first objectives, and American assistance in the defence of Kamchatka would be desirable.
