so if i don't publicly accept your publicly extended offer to permanently co-host my podcast with me, that means i didn't appreciate your appearance with me on a gabcast?  jesus christ.  you've read way more into my "thanks, but ev or solo" message than was intended.  this reaction by you isn't exactly causing me to rethink my plans.  if i'd replied, "thanks, but ev or someone other than you" then i could understand your displeasure.

i've done the trainwreck show with evelyn since 2009.  if she can't do it with me, i'll end up just doing it solo.  that's all.  no offense was intended.  you asked, i replied.  i didn't expect i'd need to cushion the reply to avoid offense, as none was intended.  i even thanked you for making the offer by typing the word "thanks" at the beginning of the reply.  perhaps making the offer publicly wasn't the best move since you put me in the position of having to reply publicly, which inevitably led to reactions on this order:

sure, there have been a couple occasions in the past when ev couldn't be there so i found someone to cohost with me, but i fail to see how that relates to my intention to do the show solo if ev isn't available.

my "conscience" comment was in jest.  if you didn't take it as such, then you don't know me very well which calls into question whatever "chemistry" you're referring to.

also, even if i were looking for someone to replace evelyn, i wouldn't choose you because we fundamentally agree on too many things.  evelyn's world view is almost entirely incongruent with mine, which i think makes for better radio.  this is not a bellgab podcast.  it's a podcast about current events and politics.

i'm michael vandeven.

Oh my God!  Man, you take yourself way too seriously, I was freaking joking, or at least trying to.  You have some thin skin there, bud.

Oh, by the way, I have a Bachelor's degree in US History and Political Science.  It's my thing, like.

pkaiser... don't die within the next week, bud.  i could be indirectly blamed!  can't have that on my conscience.

What conscience?

Hey, I only offered because I heard some of your train wreck shows with some other guy co-hosting with you the other day and the guy was so lame and uninformed I actually turned it off.  I thought you and I had much more chemistry and carried on a much more intelligent conversation when we've been together, so I gave it a shot. Obviously you don't agree and that's perfectly fine.  Your loss.

Thanks for having me on when you did, I had a lot of fun!  After I pick up the pieces of my shattered ego I'll be fine, honestly, don't worry about me, I'll be fine.  I swear.  Really.  Right?

Hey MV, if you're needing a co-host for the podcast I'm up for it! It would be a gas!

Wow, almost 48 hours with no posts here, I can hardly believe that! And 72 hours with no posts on the Art Bell thread, how is that even possible?

I think the little guy stole the show with his dance moves!

Brig, that's so cool you watched! I'm dead chuffed!

Many folks have mentioned James' part, he just turned 3 and he's a riot, very personable for that age.

The snow has been crazy but this week, tons of melting. lol at you being bad at lyrics. I did not get the job we talked about but may reapply later this year. I'm teaching now and love it, took a while for authorizations through the state, etc but it's a blast.

Things are good. My son turned 4 earlier this month and he's super smart. I'm sure everyone says that about their kids. He'll do well in pre school this fall. The Mrs. is doing well, too.

Yes I agree Sred hilarious. He seems cool.

Element, not to be a shameless shill (lol), but my six year old granddaughter wrote her first song, Singers Of Power over the Holidays.  I read the lyrics and thought "Hey, there's something there," and I went to work producing it into a real song, which she sings on.  I then got some cheap video editing tools and in three hours produced a video for it.  It's quite cute, even if I do say so myself.  I would LOVE your opinion on it, and perhaps you can show it to your four year old and tell him, "Look!  You can do that too!"  Especially with the incredibly talented parents he has!  Please check it out at:

www.reverbnation.com/philkaiser

If you're on a phone just scroll down a bit and you'll see her smiling face with her copy of the CD with the "album art" she created for it.  It's been a gas doing it and something I never expected from a six year old.  Hell, I didn't write a song until I was 18!!!!!

I've never really understood this. People don't fret about where they were before they were born, I don't see any reason to worry about what happens after they die either.

Hi Sred.

Not to be disagreeable, but actually there are a lot of folks who worry about where they were before they were born into their current circumstances.  It's couched in reincarnation, the idea that we've all lived many lives before this one.  One of my personal heroes, General George S. Patton, Jr., was a firm believer that he had lived as a warrior many times before and in many places.  For example, he once gave a tour of the island of Sicily in 1943 to its Queen (or First Lady, or whatever) and her handlers and everyone on the tour was amazed at the places and things Patton showed them, many of which they in fact had never seen before.  And Patton had never been on the island in his life.  Was he an inveterate reader?  Of course, but that couldn't account for everything.  They were all a bit spooked afterwards....

What does it matter to ya
When ya got a job to do
Ya got to do it well
You got to give the other fella hell

You used to say live and let live (You know you did, you know you did, you know you did)

Welcome back, PKaiser!!!

Element my man!  You buried in snow up there?

All my life I thought McCartney was saying "You've got to give the other man a hand!"  Jeezus, I'm bad with lyrics, lol!

I just had to give Sred some shit, but I actually admire him a BUNCH.  I think he's a riot, and we need more like him here.  He's obviously quite the intellectual and I dig that.

How are things with you and the Mrs.?  And, did you ever get that job?  I certainly hope so!

It's where everybody else's is. Ask your nurse to help you if you're still having trouble, you don't want to make a mess again.

Oh, I can always find that, it's where the big tent is in the middle of my bed!

I was talking about the Falkie thread, you bleeding twit!

There you go, deviant, I told you he wouldn't be long, hahahaaaaaa!

Indeed, I would imagine one glance in the mirror each morning gives you quite enough embarrassment for one day.

My dear old Sredni! How are you, old chap?

So, you're going to give me shit about the way I look when you have a picture of someone other than YOU as your avatar and my avatar is really me? You gotta be kidding me, even if you are a stuck-up British cunt, eh?  I'd put my fabulous 54 year old looks up against your posh, preening, purfume-laden face anytime, anyplace, wanker!

Lol! Good to see you back!

Check out the Falkie thread.  George is going to be on the air live tonight. He's been "away" for ages.

No, thank you. I've never "gotten" the whole Falkie thing, he is an absolute embarrassment to humanity and the type of person I steer very clear of.  His shtick is not funny to me in any way, in fact I find him, his countenance and his behavior simply gross.  I can't look at it, but thanks for the offer, sweet brig!

But I will check out the thread to see what depravity lies there!

EDIT: I can't find it, lol!

Amy's gotten pretty positive support here, so I'm not sure why she'd be reticent to engage with the forum.  Unless of course she's read the Art Bell thread.  In that case she might feel like she's jumped into a snake-pit wearing a Minnie-Mouse-ears hat.   Btw enjoyed the last show, with its space exploration / astrobiology topic, and relevant Trek references.

God damn, one never knows where one will see Master Bateman!

Look Zeeb, Amy is just another radio wannabe with a prettier face and more knowledge than the fabulously horrendous Heathen, er, I mean Heather.  She doesn't come here because she is lazy and doesn't have much to say, like most kids her age, and just like MV alluded. And it seems to piss her and her mouthpiece off when she gets criticized for exhorting you all over and over to listen to her then doesn't show up to do her show, something true professionals don't do!

The disappointing thing is she has more talent than the train wreck at MITD! Now I know Mr. Mouthpiece is going to come along and excoriate me for daring to criticize Amy because she has had some health issues but I'm here to tell you from the REAL radio world that is bullshit. I had open heart surgery last March and I could've sat in bed and done a show every goddamned day I was in hospital, so unless she was out cold for months she could've done it, ESPECIALLY after promo-ing it to death before she buggers off! If she can't show up she should pack it in, simple as that. And no, Mr. Mouthpiece, no amount of yelling at me or calling me names is going to change those simple facts.

G'Morning PK  ;D

Just woke up, and read your description.

I think Shredme will be pleased.

Is that really you, brig?

I just got all tingly inside!

I thought I would de-cloak for a few to shake the dust off of this place. What's shakin' brig? Anything new?

I'm afraid you have me at a disadvantage. Care to explain?

C'mon Nobody, you can do better than that.

Ol' Sredni Vashtar (or Shred me bashed her, as the beloved brig calls him) is from the U.K., has a picture of a famous piano player none of us has ever heard of or seen before as his avatar (mine is actually me) and, like you and most Brits I've encountered over my semi-long life, goes around speaking as if he thinks he is smarter and better than anyone around him at any time.  Quite a useless poofter, a wanker of the highest order, he is nonetheless loved and admired by several females here who think they can hear his beloved British accent in their adoring heads every time he posts some long-winded piece of tripe from his flat outside of London.  Yawn.  *Stretch*  We don't see his bloated British kisser much here anymore, bless him.  But he lurks (he's a right lurker) and often pops in to shame anyone who posts anything derogatory about him, so give it a few and you'll see him pop in to address me....

hey, mang.

Hello MV! Hello brig! I am alive, we bought a new home late last year and I've been up to my elbows bringing it back to life, lol.

MV, I heard the podcast you did recently on End of Days and thought it superb!  I learned quite a bit about you, this forum and your thought process behind its creation and longevity.  It was fantastic!

And brig, I meant to tell you over the Holidays how much I loved your "avatar," for lack of a better word. You don't give up either, do you? Sometimes I would check the MITD forum here and you'd be the only one there, amazing!  God love ya!  I sure do!

Thanks for the shout-outs guys!!!!

Right wing crackers have been trying to pin shit on the Clinton's for most of 40 years.  THEY HAVE ALL FAILED.  I believe that many of Trump's supporters are really just Obama haters and they hate him because he's black.  Racism is alive and well in America.    I support giving you all the state of Texas.  After you've been rounded up in put in FEMA trailers, then we'll build the wall - around the entire state.

You know what? I, for one, am tired of your white cracker shit, you stupid, black assed nigger!

Now put that in your crack pipe and smoke it, spook!

HW thinks Trump is a good businessman and can't be bought.  My gosh, does she have his tax returns and will prove it to the rest of us?  ::) #shill4trump

All the crooked shit the Clintons have done for 40 years and you're worried about Trump's taxes?  REALLY?  You must be daft.  He's being audited (like most hi-profile Republicans get year after year with the idiot Dems in charge) and said he would release them after the audit.  NO thinking person would release their tax returns while being audited!

Did you see that the Clintons are PAYING for new dirt on Trump now?  That's how far they've fallen.  They can't come up with anything to use against him so they are offering money for anything they think will stick and it's disgusting.  Did you see that REUTERS (a left wing news gathering org) has just announced Trump has caught Hillary in the Electoral College?

I'm telling you folks, this ain't even gonna be close....

Hey gang, hate to charge in here to throw cold water over the Clinton Cucks but this just in from the LA TIMES:

Trump +5....

Almost out of the margin of error.  It's gonna be a long end of the race for Clinton, and to the Libtard who keeps bringing up the electoral map: you DO know not a vote has been cast, right?  Have you seen the "internals" of these polls to see how the Libtard media is weighing them heavily with Democrats, just like they always do?  And Trump is still up FIVE?

Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!

The polls might be more sophisticated, but it doesn't sound like the people are. If I wasn't such a benevolent soul I'd almost wish that you did get him as president. It would serve you right.

And don't think I didn't notice that bit of tap-dancing, arguing from one side before switching to the other. That sort of exercise can't be good for the old ticker.

I feel like I'm living in The Twilight Zone as all of this stuff I've heard before, in 1976 and 1980.  They all said Reagan was gonna blow up the whole world.  And yet we're all still here to commiserate over it.

Not tap dancing, just using your own logic against you my Anglo friend....
