Lucifer was the Guardian of fire and then rebelled against God declaring himself a God to be worshiped and took 1/3 of the angels with him who became demons.  Satan is his fallen name and ever since the King of Kings ascended into heaven he has had no access to heaven anymore he will be cast into the abyss for a 1000 years in 2022!
