Senda, you are hard to follow. First you went apeshit because it was revealed and now you are working hard to convince us it really happened. Why don't you go into more details? There is a rumor that a trombone was a part of rodeo, is that true?

TinCupChalice has an excellent summary of the new 5 hour MITD with HW! Can she pull it off? Are her fans excited, or anxious? We shall see!

DAMN.  Just put on the archive from last night, and went directly here a minute in.  Late to this party--but agreed, there's only one way this can end.

She can barely manage to keep the guests she's got.  She's had many guest changes and outright cancellations.  Two guests a night?  Can't be done without a staff.  So her next option is trying to fill 5 hours with one guest when she can barely fill 1-3 (depending on when she brings in callers), at this point.  And if not that, 3 hours with a guest and 2 hours of open lines.  EVERY NIGHT.  She can barely make it through Fridays.

I can't believe ANY of her support system is telling her this will go well, especially if she was melting down as early as January.  There are times you can FEEL her watching the clock.  I think Falkie got more calls on his Gabcast than she gets, some nights, and whenever that happens, it gets awkward fast.  "Soooo... Donald Trump, am I right?"

Not to mention--this show is 11-2, my time.  For most of us listening, it'll end somewhere from 2-5 AM.  There will be NOBODY around in the last two hours to call her.  Even the OSOM thread goes dead, lots of nights, or is the same five people.

With Art--and the show growing the way it was--it could've worked.  But this is going to be rough.  Hopefully someone records these for a while--cause whatever night she inevitably flips, it's not winding up in the archives.

Soon they're gonna have to replace the carrot with a stick:  "Keith has your, uh, credit card information.  And if I don't average a thousand listeners a night in May, he'll charge you each $200."

Though Art will HAVE to do a fill-in, to get this kicked off right.  We'll get him once more out of this, at least, I'd think.

We have been able to piece together 30 pages of thread in just a day or so! When I was banished from the Fortress, George only had 30 pages...though most of those were his classic long, heavily spaced, video laden posts that forced MV to give him the Musings thread in the first place!
