With love to our unforgettable Son and Brother, Bernhard König. 

Bernhard was born on September 16, 1890 in Siggen, (possibly Siegen) Germany.  Beyond that we know very little about him, other than he was in the 1st Bavarian Infantry Regiment, Kings Company.  We also know that Bernhard was killed on October 15, 1916, on The Somme.  He was 26 years old.

Bernhard's photo has been carefully trimmed and glued to the card.
