General question for those who remain after Heather cleared the room...

Will Pluto be invited to join the Federation of Planets?
Good Lord I just noticed you're avatar! nice

You still haven't answered my question. All you can do is type negative insults. I am just tying to understand the motivation for listening to a show you do not like and then posting negative comments. It is a fair question.

You can type up anything you want. No one stops you. I just don't understand the joy. Help me understand.

I guess it'll just have to be an unsolved mystery to you. Y'all.

My stomach is absolutely killing me. Good night all :)

Well, I knew what you were talking about. Just read it in a dramatic voice.

Actually Niven did have a species of tree in the Known Space books that a long-dead alien race had bioengineered to be used as rockets.

I was thinking more of The Interigal Trees by Larry Niven, with his Smoke Ring .

Isn't Niven science fiction?  Sanderson was a non-fiction guy, I think he was biolgist by profession who talked about UFOs being living creatures.

Well, that is your best answer so far.

Hate watching (or listening) is not a phenomena unique to this program. It's become fairly ubiquitous. Why?

1) When people feel that the quality of content they're consuming has gone down, they can't help but juxtapose that with the previous content they deemed good.

2) There's a perverse need to see how bad (in their opinion) it will get.

I watched all of "True Detective" season two, and it was a complete train wreck. But the first season was so good that I just marveled at how quickly it went downhill and had to see it through.

I'm not saying this logic applies to the haters here, but it could. Everyone has their own coping mechanisms.

Yeah I sure agree with you about season 2. Laughably bad. Same writer from Season 1 too.

Maybe, not sure of their schedules? Or activity, though one could claim just about anything and make some $? (Be careful, though.) And still deny that Art didn't have those shows??? Really?

It's not that Art doesn't have copies of his old shows, it's that he doesn't own the rights to replay them.

Thanks, your opinion really matters to me.

I'm pretty sure I won't have to call several times.

After a half hour we find out the motorcyclist didn't flatline or even have a NDE.  Another quality call.
Call in and tell us a better story then man.  :D

akwilly

It depends on the night actually. There are a couple of nights I tried to get through and gave up after 6 or 7 times on Skype. The two times I got through, I was able to get right on.

This was a different novel, set in a gas torus surrounding a neutron star that was oxygen-rich and where vegetation and forms of other organic life had developed.

oops, I meant Integral Trees, only read that one and Mote in God's Eye

Uncle Duke

Wow, that would make a great movie.....birds attacking people.

akwilly

Very similar to what happened to my mother. Very eerie almost word for word

Wow. Great stories tonight.

I didn't detect a shred of doubt or hesitation in her description. You almost HAVE to believe that story.

Uncle Duke

Interesting, seems Heather is emotionally involved in this story.  Does she have a son?

I do believe it. As I posted the other day my mom still doesn't wear a watch. If she does it stops working completely after a few days.

Is that the crazy Bigfoot gal from Texas?  The one who feed Bigfoot the lemon pie?

Might have been. Same kinda voice but it didn't sound quite like an east Texas accent.
