Re: this show and "rods." Anyone recall the stories of "flying snakes" in South Africa? Jan Lamprecht (maybe?) I forget the original "rods" (it has been decade(s) but the 'flying through air' aspect reminded me of that. So, as he says, no noise (not sure why since birds make noise) and planes make noise by their speed or engines (or just speed without engines if fast.) But his idea, I guess, is rods sorts of flutter like a squid or snake through the air= no noise??

Yeah, but "flying" like our certain squirrels. Floating/gliding not flying, really- though that article was interesting because, apparently, they can, for short times, adjust more than the other such animals and sorta, fly. Of course, flying fish do better (in terms of going up and gliding, adjusting, I think?)
