I will admit one thing I actually fell for with Heather was that tonight would provide unsurpassed audio/production quality. I did just realize a lot of the crackling sound like audio is coming in somewhere too hot, so either she doesn't know how the hell to operate volumes/faders or someone at the "network" is a total buffoon.

I felt bad for her when I heard that static. Then I thought, shouldn't they have tested the setup? Then I thought maybe she's really doing her best and made some bad decisions influenced by grief and personality. Then I thought, who decides that butterflies are better than moths? Then I thought I shouldn't have eaten a chicken leg before drinking those beers. Then I thought I like Good Dave's bumper music. Then I thought I like that Heather played Art's bumper music. Then I thought again about the chicken and beer. And then I remembered Bellgab, and how I could share these thoughts, and how people would read them and dismiss them as I perhaps should have, and I was at peace.

48k is all you need for talk. 64 and especially 128 is overkill and takes up too much space in your podcatcher. 192 is ignorant.

Exactly. Clyde just recently started upping his SC download to 128. I haven't found a station that does the 128 live yet though, but I'm sure it's available on their end from XDS. Again... not very keen for streaming direct over your phone if you have data limits. I'm Strieber anal about lossless audio with music, but just doesn't work with talk radio.

Why does Art prefer the ceiling?

Its just what happens when we die inside a room.  Our soul/spirit gets stuck in the cieling when we try to rise up to heaven.  Due to an innerdimensional shift these departed souls can appear in any building, but only in the ceiling.  Its complicated and i cant explain any more at this time.

Keith bumped up the bit rate to 64k for that bumper tribute show but I am sure he set it back down at 48. That is what he has normally used since Art quit back in 2015 to save money. It sounds fine.
