I've never seen that......................   I've never seen anyone drive their rubbish to the street and bang the hell out of it with a stick.

It's 2018 and you can't get away with fossil fiction like that in the age of ultra-realistic fiction like "The Martian" any more than you can get away with writing stories about giant squid attacking Captain Nemo's submarine. The zeitgeist has moved on from age of Jules Verne and it would be silly to write that in the age of the nuclear submarine where one torpedo could take out the squid from miles away.

That's because we have submarines now. They're commonplace but were just a fantastic idea that someone like you would've scoffed at in Verne's time. However, FTL antigrav machines still aren't and so, of course they would be fertile ground for fiction. ::)

oh yeah.  I hit post too soon before I could finish it.   That and Back to School are my guilty pleasures.

Las Vegas becomes a lake...

There's pumps constantly keeping the water under ground level.

Other than the stupid factor in how the valley was laid out, it can flood in some pretty populated areas.  I lived up in Green Valley Ranch (at least 200-300 higher than the strip) and flood control channels were big and plentiful. Skateboarding should have been popular but it's took damn hot or cold or windy (high desert).

I miss it too.  Even in my neighborhood (with great schools, parks system, etc), it wasn't good for kids, especially girls, but it was a good-for-the-most-part place to live, work, see cool things, meet interesting people...

Listening to the replay of last nites show...JPW belongs in a stripe suit behind bars somewhere...what a lying pos douchedag con man.

Zenman

Apparently they used to listen to Art Bell a lot over at Heaven's Gate. Hard core listeners, I would say.

Love Basagio too...just like I loved Dr Jonathan Reid, Mel ( Mel's hole), John Lear, Harlot, Paglini, Paulides  etc. just to mention a few.

Love open lines and I am so glad you will continue this in Art's legacy(unscreend)...actually his open line's shows were some of my favorites.

"Wanna take a ride" is what got me hooked, along with I would guess most of the following for Art here and elsewhere  ..what is possible, what may not be possible...do we really understand the reality of what we are "sold"  ...the quest for answers to the unknown....the truth, if we are ever able to ever get there and/or if we can even comprehend what that may be.

What I didn't like about Art is that he "bought" alot of things that he would never venture to explore...911 as one example. He lost me wlhen he called a part of his audience 'wing nuts'...I lost a lot of respect for him and and never saw him the same way after that.

Crap, BS, bit of truth, whole truth re the above...does it really matter? ..obvious frauds aside, whoever they are?
Are some of these "frauds" really that? Are they some result of MKULTRA, disinformation agents, other? Are they just trying to make a buck? Who knows.

What I loved about Art Bell, is that he never agreed, disagreed ( with some exceptions) and brought whatever he did to the airwaves to allow every listener to think and make up their own mind about what was heard.

Take us on that ride "Good Dave"...take alot of the good stuff said here FWIW, and ignore the BS....and yeah, you'll get a shit load here.

My wish for you "Good Dave" is that you will take us on that ride again...in search of....

Lovin' what you are bringing so far...keep it coming...and of course Praise MV.... and praise good talk radio in you hands :)

Bring it on in your style, your way...we have been waiting way too long for the magic to return
The thing is Dave, Andy-boy has been telling the same story since he was at Gettysburg and was hanging with old Abe...it's just the same old, same old.

They would have been Heather fanatics, not Dave listeners...

Tried in in western Canada... Tried it in Ottawa.  I would not eat it here or there, I would not eat it anywhere.  (It's just not good.)

Would you eat it with a fox in a box with lox?

GravitySucks

So is the honeymoon still going, or is tonight Heckle 2.0?

Do you eat it with a fork or eat it with a spork like a dork?

I've got a total man-boner for Dave. True, it isn't quite as firm as the one for 1990s Art, it'll do.

I totally agree, The Burbs was A++.
Good news! The actors who played the Klopeks are coming to BellGab Sardine Fest 2018. Some of Jojo's housemates are bringing candles!

comaphobe

Heavens Gate is very entertaining. I've seen several documentaries and they are always good, sometimes funny.

Which Cult do you think would win in a fight?
The Branch Dividians or the Heavans Gate Cult?
Discuss.

Well the HG were de-nuttified weren't they. So they kind of already lost imo.
