Is Heather Wade still alive? She has not posted anything lately? Is she going to be on the air this monday? If not, is Keith going to play the best of Heather Wade??

I allways liked that stinger that was played from coming back from commercial.  Neat sounds.

Jackboot ripped them and posted them in a bunper music thread earlier today

Bobot

My fav bumper was after maybe the first hour break in the "old days"
When Art would play In Search of the Lost Chord by The Moody Blues.

That's kinda mesmerizing, especially when you're trying to get some paperwork done.

(I suppose I should save it and look at it later.)

El Chorro

This song would be so much better if it was only saxophone. None of that singing part.

I remember that Art's most memorable bits of non music were the thunder and the piano gliss/crash.  Both were CBC sound effects that were part of their catalog of royalty free bits.  Someone asked him once where he got them.

Anyone remember when Art was playing around with new transitional sound effects? Before he decided on the thunder clap, he was running another one for a few months. Then someone pointed out that it sounded like trash cans falling down the stairs... that effect was gone a few days later LOL!

That sax player on Baker Street was a great musician.  He was also full of shit.

He claimed to have written his part.  Upon the release of the original demos, you can hear that the same part was being played by a guitar.

I have a necro-mancrush on Gerry Rafferty.

Ravencroft died...  Probably in shame.

He recorded the thunder himself.  The one Noory still uses, anyway.

I remember the night he debuted it and said he recorded it during a thunder storm over his house earlier that evening before he went on air.

I think a bumper music listening party is a great way to honor and remember Art.
This may be the best tribute I've heard since the terrible news hit us.

I have only been listening for a little while but I have very quickly noticed that the music is being played alphabetically first by artist then by song.  That just seems like an extraordinarily Keith-ish thing to do.

Why play songs in a meaningful order that compliment each other and add variety when you can be a computer and simply play an entire catalog of music in alphabetically sorted order.   ;D

Ones and zeroes, folks, there's no doubt about it.

Heh, heh, yeah but I like it.  Keith knows he can't do everything...  yet, but he's doing what he CAN do, to remember Art with all of us.

And we know Art always told the truth.
