So you know all about Heather carrying Art's child then.

Yeah, I'm still on the fence about how amused vs. half-assed turned off I am about the more "salacious" comments about heather, art, et. But I keep reading, what can I say!! And holy poopz 2 Elvis songs in a row.

sydtron

Elvis singing about BlackJack and hookers.
And winding up in the gutter covered in piss
Damn I miss Vegas

Lol. That was quick! I'm an actual dude trying to break in to this community. Meekly, with humility and mild innebriation. I've learned more "behind the curtain" stuff about the show and network reading this thread in the past 2 weeks. It's like an Enquirer for a very specific part of the universe that grabbed me around '96. I hope I end up posting often but not Keith. Someone replied to me though, thank you! Am I in?? Is this really happening?!!? Yayus!!!

I think that most here are welcoming.  The fact that you type in completely sentences (and know that the best way to listen to a podcast or radio broadcast is with a drink) says that you're in.  It sounds like you have read here enough to know who to ignore and not to take things too seriously.

So- Welcome and post often.

BTW- who was it that called "elvis"?  I just realized that it is like listening to a cross section of my fathers music.  Man, this was his stuff.  :)  I will be one of those requesting a copy of the show later from somebody with the foresight to record it.  ;)

Ah yes, I do believe somebody was requesting Elvis.  I can't imagine why, but somebody did LOL

This one goes out to Heather on behalf of Keith.

"I did what you told me... Fuck with my money... You'll be sorry."

My first Bellgab post. Had to check in here after hearing of Art's passing. The gossip, the "banter", good to see the forum is as "lovable" as always! ;) I've spent too much free time reading through this thread. I'm a big Art fan and often leave an earbud in all night listening to one of the old shows. Listening to Keith's bumper music show now. How is everyone taking it? Seems like many were chomping at the bit for some call-ins. I'm enjoying it, but the feeling is weird. I don't know what I hope will happen with MiTD. I hope the network will continue. The drama has been addictive, a true tribute to Art, will he or won't he, or when? How do you folks know when a gab cast is eminent? That would be something to call in to... Something to which to call in... Something, grammar. Anyway, I enjoy the site and the gabcast and the Art and the DMDN. And, also, I had a few beers - I hope that explains the disjointed stream of consciousness. Carry on, bellgabbers.

Welcome.

Post often

You're so screwed. Welcome.

Thank you! I'm both cautious and optimistic.

Thanks, Keith.
Sounds good.
Sounds like Art.

From payphone in which she opened receiver and used alligator clips ('roach clips' to you) to play recordings.

For some reason I found this as cool as it was hard to listen to. Hard with which to listen . F grammar

That organ opening where the 12-string comes in...  I think from the Hot August Night album.

Lilith

" I know your out there somewhere "  was my favorite art bell bumper music tune. I wonder if its included in Keiths collection tonight?

Yeah.. Leave it on in the background for now... I suppose I was hoping to hear some talk.  Of course, given the quality of the average caller to MITD or Coast, I have no doubt that they would probably wreck open lines.  Most people would make it about them...  Maybe this is better?

Good tune.

He can't....probably something to do with Heather I'm sure.

I look at it this way, Keith spun bumper music, all by himself, on the Air for Art, in spite of all the online banter.   I think that's pretty decent for his first show on the air, being his own producer and all that there.

I think I agree folks wanted something, and damn I always love that bumper music.

Oh...I thought that was production music. Not the brightest gaucho in the desert.

They don't play that opening on the radio. I went and bought that LP just for that part. I love that bit.

ELO should have been before Elvis, no?

Tusk was truly a great album.  Especially Christine McVie's songs
