So what is your theory on what happened? There is some evidence that something happened. It appears the police really were called, there is a police report. I think it was posted on their website or in the local paper, something like that. Can't remember exactly. Are they in on it? Could be, they all know Art....but to what end? Like you said, there was huge fall out.

Well, I don't know that the police would necessarily think Art would lie about something.  An old guy with a young wife and daughter to protect. I do believe it was reported that neighbors saw a truck leaving the area? Hell, maybe Art asked someone to do something, to make it seem legit. I mean, it's crazy on the one hand to think he'd fake it, but also crazy to think it's real. So many things don't add up. That said, I think it was in a news article that law enforcement had visited Bell numerous times over the years. Why is that? 

I think it all began sometime early in 2008. MV was abducted and probed.

So, her fans would have us believe that she was so overwrought with grief that she chose not to attend out of respect for Art's family- so as not to make a scene. Really? She has that little self control? I'm a hospice volunteer, and have cried over the death of my first patient loss- I only knew the man a few months.  I was not sobbing, I did not have a nervous breakdown, I did not lash out and attack people on social media.  I recently lost a grandparent. We were very close. I did not do any of these things either.

Midnight in the Desert really is getting better by the day since Heather stopped doing it.

In Heather's world HER losing Art is the tragedy. Not Airyn losing her husband. Not Asia and Alex losing a father. Not Art's long time friends and collaborators losing him. It's all about Heather losing a guy she only knew for three years. She must consider her years of prior obsession to be part of their relationship.

Yeah, and I find it absolutely fucking ludicrous. She's on social media talking about how she just lost her best friend. Is Airyn aware of this? :  NOT ONCE has she mentioned a damn one of them by name. I think once I saw her type "the family".  ONCE.

Keith never came here to lurk. His main impression is based on first Art and now Heather. Plus any emails he has gotten overtime.

I'd imagine he's getting the most negativity (now, anyway) from Heather's fans.. and is perhaps assuming they're from here?  If i were him, I would not start with the pity party. He's not anywhere near Heather's extreme.. but still.

My father passed away last August. Was I upset? Yes. Did I cry? Absolutely, Alone in my apartment away from everyone. Not only did I go to his funeral, I was a pallbearer and still kept my shit together. This woman needs to grow the fuck up!

Amazing message from Keith, how silly ---so many topics and points of view on this forum---I have returned after a few years and have been back since Art's death.  I would say that MV is the most balanced, respectful, careful, and thoughtful guy running any forum I visit  for example--his advice to HW is "be yourself".  I believe that his position regarding Keith is supportive.  Almost everyone here has a sense of humor directed towards the forum participants...some parody-- true--- kind of the SNL of the paranormal--but funnier.
