It is true, I do not own the company, it is owned by a relative but Onikoroshi goes back 100's of years it got it's name because at one time it was so strong/bad that people said it could kill a demon so Oni (Demon) Koroshi (Murderer).
I see a potential networking resource for my bilingual kids' future employment here 😀

Yes Japan is a very nice place to visit as an American.  You should come a couple times but stagger the months for the festivals.

Speaking of the so-called kingdom of nye, I notice nobody, including me, is listening to HW? or commenting on the show? Is it even on the air? I'm too fed up tonight to go check. And btw the Fringe FB page is nearly unreadable, mostly incoherent, misspelled, and all over the place. "Full of sound and fury, signifying nothing," as some playwright or other once said <g>.
There used to be a BBS that went by that name. The Kingdom of Nye .com.

Where can we get some? Sold in the USA?
You can buy it in the US but mainsail by mail order, I know of a reputable Sake realer in California who can take care of you, but I am not here to sell Sake and I could get in trouble by my Father's Brother who owns the company.

Btw, has anyone heard if Katen is going to be taking any action for the KNYE name rip off? And Keef what about H. Wad still using time traveler & worm hole. Somebody has to teach her a good lesson.

When I was a kid living in McKees Rocks PA in the 70's my Father was selling Sake business to business from Pittsburgh to Miami and I would sometimes accompany him

What I find fumy is people come here to Japan on vacation and some, not all eat at McDonald's and other fast food places, granted American fast food places here in Japan have a Japanese touch to them, but why fly thousands of miles to eat a burger when the local food is cheaper and better and you get a real experience.  The best burger is Arby's and Carls Jr hands down

I thought she changed it to "The Looking Glass" and something else that my brain didn't consider important enough to remember...

Peter Green â€" The Green Manalishi Lyrics
Written by peter green.

Now, when the day goes to sleep and the full moon looks
The night is so black that the darkness cooks
Don't you come creepin' around - makin' me do things I don't want to

Can't believe that you need my love so bad
Come sneakin' around tryin' to drive me mad
Bustin' in on my dreams - making me see things I don't wanna see

Break:

'cause you're da green manalishi with the two prong crown
All my tryin' is up - all your bringin' is down
Just taking my love then slippin' away
Leavin' me here just tryin' to keep from following you
==================================
Inspired here by Mr.Bell's alleged inter-actions(sic)with Mz.Wade?
Truly an wierd synchrony.
(K)arl Jung,where is thy sting?

PS:To night's re-runs?

And speaking of incompetent, the DMCA notice on their web page is still unverified (of course), and if you click on it, what they have supposedly "protected" is:

Paul Sinclair - The Kingdom of Nye with Heather Wade

He was the first guest, if I recall, after the show was renamed. So they are not even protecting the correct url! Doesn't it figure!

Bart Ell would NEVER do such a thing! All hail Bart Ell!

Japanese taxi cars have been the best experience in the world for me.  I don't mind dropping $200-$300 (did it twice) to go from Meijirodai to Narita. Yes, black seems to be the prevalent color...

As for yellow cabs, uhem...
Yes they are clean, smell good, little doyles for the back of ur head. Spotless. Only thing as an American working for the US Navy and going from Prince hotel to Yokoska navy base, taxi driver in a nice big black Toyota  tried to take me for a ride. Flashed him my.old NYPD shield and ID card, (was retired) and told him I was a New Yorker and no Cab driver from Japan was gonna jack me up, the best in NYC couldn't do it he sure wasn't. Told him to take me to USMC guard office at base or nearest police station. All of a sudden he speaky english and bowed 100 times,  oh so sorry wanted to pay me!!! Told him to take me to the base tossed him a few yen and told him it was his lucky day. There 2 wks many cad rides only problem.

You are lucky he did not kick you out and call the Japanese Police and tell them that you tried to rip him off, especially if you were in Okinawa but you were outside Tokyo so you lucked out.

Italian food in Japan was a joke.  French, eh...  The World Famous Chinese Restaurant in Mejirodai near the Keio Station was barely passable but the Japanese food was surprisingly good...
(By the way, that slogan used to wrap around the building in big letters...)

Vodka is really a terrible alcohol, it has no taste and whatever you mix it with is all the flavour,, I have this Korean friend who goes to the Exchange and buys plastic bottles of Vodka and mixes them with fruits like strawberries, blueberries..you know what I I am saying and lets it set for a month and it tastes very good untill you stand up, then it kicks in and you almost fall to the floor.

I can only surmise that she did say/write something to her.  I emailed her and Karen replied.  I also think that Bart Ell actually might do something because his genius is too valuable to be vultured without serious consequences.

Very true, the problem is that alot of foreigners think that they can come to Japan and open up a foreign restaurant.. you will find a for example an Italian restaurant run by Chinese here in Japan..the math does not work.  Remember this is the country that has 49 flavours of Kit Kats and eats Whale /
Dolphine meat

Wasn't gonna happen. This was in Yokoska near the base. The entire place depended on the US military $$$ He knew he was wrong. I had an experience at the Airport in Narita that was very eye opening. When I get a few minutes in the next day or two I will PM u with a story that  blew my mind about the Japanese Police. This was about 1996?
And I agree, when traveling I never eat any food I can get at home. Had most breakfast at USN "O" club since Japanese folks eat some funky stuff for breakfast tried but couldn't do it. Also had one dinner there at the Officers Club, the Kobe beek rib eye and lobster tails for like $6 US. Can't beat that with a stick. They would have these soda machines everywhere with cans of some of the best coffee and it was Hot! Also this remarkable cold, sweet grapefruit like soda, couldn't get enough of it...but it was all written in Japanese so could not tell you what it was. Had the finest bubbles carbonated like champagne!

Ironic, though, there is a restaurant in Manhattan on w. 17 St. which serves the most wonderful refined Italian food. It is owned and run by a Japanese, and all the staff (excepting one or two non-Japanese busboys) are Japanese. The mood is Japanese, but the food is nearly perfect Italian. Many well-known people go there, but nobody gets fussed over more than anyone else. Go figure!

The Japanese touch to Italian food in Japan was to.make it like ramen...  Soupy.
