Hurricane Patricia . . . .

Hurricane Patricia is no longer a hurricane but she's tracking from Texas to the East and Northeast.   There were a few tornadoes in So. Texas earlier today spawned by this storm and heavy rain creating more flooding in the coastal areas.

Please keep our BellGab family members, as well as everyone in the tracking area, in your hearts and prayers.

Hurricane bears down on continental US =CNN Breaking News all night

Hurricane bears down on Mexico = Lisa Ling/Anthony Bourdain marathon without interruption on CNN.

Down here in Texas we don't need CNN to tell us it has been raining here for two days straight and that it doesn't have anything to do with the remnant low pressure system formerly known as Patricia.

Thanks. We've had rain, rain, rain but, so far no tornadoes. And it was before this Patricia Hurricane (though I think the remnants are coming through soon.) Some floods and considering earlier this summer, not needed. So far no deaths in my immediate area except a sad case in which, apparently, someone (after the FB game maybe?) got into an accident and then got out of his car, before cops were on scene, and JUMPED over the bridge and into the flooded lake (which is really a river, long story but dammed, but then flooded and raging) and presumed dead. For a, what, possible drunk driving charge in which nobody was hurt? So, presumably his family/friends grieve AND he's dead AND he risked the life of others (police, sheriff deputies, EMS etc) who had to jump in, spend time there, and try to save and, now, (stopped at dark), "recovery specialist swimmers" to try to recover the body. Sad and impulsive and sucks....

Texas Feels Effects of Hurricane Patricia.

See the massive line of storms in the Gulf training into Texas? That is what we have been dealing with for the last couple of days.

See the wispy green bands over Monterrey, Mexico?  That is the remnant of Patricia.

Now you know why I NEVER tune to CNN.

What are you implying about Lisa Ling?  :P

Your observation is pithy and apposite, sir. I'll recommend thee for a Nifty Award. On a more serious note, one assumes more continental Americans buy the crap advertised on CNN than Mexicans do.

Here in the Northeast, we've been enjoying a MUCH needed deluge since yesterday, one which promises to continue today. Rain just don't happen much no more, and I'm someone who, if I go more than a few days without rain, starts to go full werewolf. Thus, I am grateful to Patricia for the rain.

Might we prescribe a shower for what ails you?  :)

I keep a couple of plastic mister/spray bottles of water around always -- to spritz me face with, refresh, stay alert, renew, cool off, clean up, take simple pleasure from.

I both hear your words and validate your feelings.
