This is heartbreaking, sad but true. I've worked with some of the young men and women that went there.
One guy is half Native American, he's slightly Psychic/Intuitive. Told me some scary sad stories of the ghosts of U.S. Servicemen
who died at some of the FOB's. That must really suck to have your soul/spirit stuck in a foreign land far away from home.

Thank you for posting this. A half hour went by without my realizing because how interesting all this info is.

I remember being in high school during these days. We all knew it was bad evil shit but a few kids did get sucked in and went over with promises of whatever they were being promised back then. Of my three friends who actually got in the shit in Afghanistan, all of them came back with heroin problems. Two are dead now and one disappeared with no word from him in years. That thing really fucked the minds up of the people who went.

I remember watching the marine recruiter walking around the high school. I have immense respect for our servicemen and marines on this board like Paladin. But it was like a jar headed khaki clad grim reaper walking through the halls.
