Caravan to Midnight

I am through the first half hour of 580.  Wells did not mention bellgab, or our thread.  I will keep listening, maybe someday he will mention us again.  A girl can hope.  Even better, I would love for him to come post and tell us off.

Ito come post and tell us off.
That would be a good way for him to lose subscribers.

You could be right, but knowing bellgabbers, they might subscribe just to hear the program, so they can come here and play "one upmanship" with him. Bellgabbers like to play.   :o

Anyone know who "Guardian James" is, and why he is called the guardian? I've been there from the beginning, and remember him being referred to from time to time,
but never heard his story.

Again with the mysterious "Guardian James".  I enjoyed listening to the conversation, but as far as I am concerned, unless Wells decides to tell us of his service to JB or the Caravan,  GJ is just another opinionated old fart,
just like me, except for the accent. Not to say I agree with all of his bloviation.

You know TOL, I had started to post something similar earlier, but supposed others might have tired of hearing my critiques, but yeah, thats another thing, he is not doing investigative journalism, or bringing us "THE truth",  he is just bringing us his own, and his repeat guests opinions over and over ...

and over...

Lilith

Just one more thing...  i think.

I think my main complaint about Wells is that since he doesn't do CTM live, there is nowhere to listen live for free.  And I mean even the newest of the newbie broadcasters, and the longest radio veterans offer "listen live for free".  If you want to listen to all his programs, you are FORCED into a subscription.  Very "bottom dweller"  tactics IMO.

Now I am the one who is disappointed Jackstar.  That is no where near all the shows, not even close, and they are only partials.  I expected better from you.  How diappointing.  :'(

I know what you mean, this IRL picture archive I have of you is totally missing shots of your snatch.

You're young, you'll adjust.  :-*

Brig, I think I have figured it out: Guardian James guards against Wells having a one hour show, in case a guest cancels, or there is some technical problem.
Actually I think all the shows are pre-recorded, so I still have hopes for Marzulli & Shaw, but if the shows are all pre-recorded, there really is no excuse for a crappy connection as was the case with the first guest, and many others. I don't understand this Skype worship, but I guess he has to put something on the screen. I rarely watch any programs, so it is of no use to me.

Yup, they are all pre-recorded podcasts, except for the Sat night live ArcMidnight radio show.  I have no idea why he leaves in the parts with crappy connections.  Either he doesn't want to take the time to start the segment over with his guest, his tech crew doesn't know how to edit video, or he doesn't want to pay someone to edit them.  If there are any other reasons, which there could be, I can't think of them right now.

If you are going to charge subscription fees, one would think they could expect professional grade podcast archives at least.

Lilith

It's a wonder to me that Wells doesn't notice how much nicer the guests look with their natural lighting, than he does with his dark dismal atmosphere.  Mind you, I'm not complaining about all the brownness, and the dim lighting, in fact I think I posted to him once what a big improvement the brown background was over the constantly spinning globe and lights he had behind him.  Enough to give one a seizure IMO it was.

The other thing that baffles me, is the guest icons showing on the screen for the guests entire appearance, if the guests do not want to be / can't be on video.  Wells should be on screen live for the entire program in those cases, so we don't have to stare at picture icons .  IMO.

My guess, he has the video, because it makes him different from all the other audio only podcasts that have the same guests.

By the way, wouldn't it be just special if Wells addressed some of our comments on his show-intro rant?  Of course he won't, it would prove he was reading bellgab.

Brig, I would be happy to be ripped on air to prove your points.
I would have to save that audio! He mentioned my name once on a program I couldn't finish listening to. It was the first time Ghost played Stevie Ray Vaughn.
whenever that was.

It was the first time Ghost played Stevie Ray Vaughn.  I'm like pavlovs' dog whenever I see reference to SRV I need a fix.  Here is my fav. video of the master.

Thanks, weedeater! I am a lover of SRV's music. The first time I e-mailed Ghost, I asked him "no love for SRV, Mr. Ghost "?
He wrote back, "who, or what is SRV?" I had to laugh my ass off, that someone who loves music, and is from Texas had no clue who SRV was!

It occurs to me that we have a small voting block here as far as guest requests go. If you have someone you want to hear on the program, post it here, and we can all e-mail Ken to try and get them on. I'm afraid we can forget about Jordan Maxwell, Neil Kramer, Mark Passio, and others of that ilk, which is too bad, we can also forget about the guests Alex Jones has his claws into, like Dr. Steve Pieceznik for instance.

Just listening to Douglas Dietrich (a 3+ hour interview). This is just a few days old and he is speaking of the sudden death of his friend Max Speirs and the clandestine military/government controls currently in place.   First 15 min. are interesting to say the least,(that's where I'm at) and some may be put off by his conversational style.  This is from a new youtube website called William Wallace with a great selection of diverse but pertinent subjects.  Rerouted from the Leak Project site.  Has John ever had Douglas Dietrich on before?  His head would be spinning off his shoulders and he would need a meeting with Steve Quayle immediately.

Thanks, weedeater! yes Douglas has been on only once! Episode 63. Boy was that a wild ride! You know how DD can talk. Check it out for sure.

Hey OL,

You're right, a group this size with limited reach doesn't have much leverage.  How about if we start
attaching some our choicer comments to his Utube videos and put them out there for God and everybody to see.  That might get his attention.  Who knows, if he is smart enough to recognize the brilliance of our insights we may be able to save him from himself.  Yeah, that's it.  Just think of it as sort of a good old fashioned father-to-shithead talk.

You're also right about SRV.  I first saw him on Austin City Limits sometime in the late eighties and immediately went out and bought a bunch of his CDs.  Was really bummed when I heard about the crash.

That's a good idea, I usually only go to yt to download the audio, I haven't even subscribed to his channel.

What fun to wake up to some Douglas Dietrich to watch!  Yes, I remember the CTM episode with Douglas, and if I remember correctly, wasn't it Douglas who had made some commentary about Wells on another site?  I seem to remember being torn between tears and giggles.  I could be wrong, it might have been a different guest.

Why no Jordan Maxwell or Mark Passio?  I love listening to them talk.  Also Author and Radio host James Swagger of Capricorn Radio is a wonderful listen as well IMO.  There's another one tho who only lets you hear half the program, and you have to subscribe if you want to hear the second half.  I see he has a youtube stream page set up, so it might be that you can listen there live, but I don't know what time or days they air.  If anyone knows, please let me know.  I would set my alarm clock to hear some of Capricorn Radio, live, in full.

I wonder if it would help some of our original CTM forum members find us if we mentioned that some of us are at the CTM thread on bellgab, and leave them a link to this thread, saying something like "Hope to see you all there someday soon".  Maybe even at the live Facebook chat on Saturday nights.  It goes without saying that I realize many of the old CTM forum members would be horrified by bellgab, but then, they don't have to stay.  Watching "the horrified" can be most amusing and entertaining.

Nonsense is one of my favorite things Bomar, that is why I love bellgab.

Praise MV!

I hope you will forgive me, but I enjoy reading a few of the gazillion politics threads here on bellgab, but I don't enjoy getting involved in them.  I read them, but I usually, with rare exception, don't post my  political positions, as I prefer to  keep my political positions to myself most of the time. I don't enjoy arguing with people over politics, and for the most part, don't enjoy watching other people argue over them either. Many bellgabbers DO enjoy arguing politics over at the Politics threads, but I am not one of them.

Needless to say, I will enjoy reading any political opinions and/or choices you care to share.
