I'm listening to an Ark Midnight right now, while gazing at the people posting in the George Noory thread and wondering how they can fucking stand it. Is it the fluoride? It's gotta be.

The recent one?  Ok, I'll go listen to that instead.

Unlike yourself tho, I'm gazing at several threads simultaneously while listening.

Jackstar

It's #29--I haven't happened to listen to it before, but frankly, it's just a droning background noise right now, as I can barely hear it over the sounds of my frenetic typing.

I've never gotten into the George Noory thread. Should I?  George was never really interesting to me at all.

Jackstar

Both George threads are things that I only ever remember existing when they scroll past the Recent Posts page.

Ok, so I'm listening to Wells at the beginning of Arc 29, and I'm starting to feel nauseous already.  Is that a good sign?

Thanks, Bomar, I can see we will have no tales of Scandavia from last year now, so maybe this year, if the world is still here.

Larry,...

The world will always be here...

Matter can not be created nor destroyed, just redistributed and/or reformed into other solids...

The question is; will we still be associated with this world's solid matter, next year?...

Has Wells gone into retirement or what?  The holidays are over and still no output.  He's not delivering what we pay him for.  How do we seek redress?

Damned if it isn't.  For some reason I've been thnking it was Tuesday all day.  When you're retired it's easy to lose track.  (That's the standard excuse we old folks use when we don't know what day it is.)

I bet tonight's show has something to do with religion...

What do you D&D's think?...

It might even be a full blown revival meeting wherein John conducts an alter call and anointing.

Thanks for keeping me straight on what day it is.

Bomar
IT guys have been known to put "dead man" type switches into the servers. If they don't log in after a certain amount of time...BOOM...server crashes. You never want to give the IT guy who is getting fired any time to do any kind of subterfuge or sabotage before you let him or her go. But some of them think ahead.

Source--Cisco networking class.

First thing I do when working on a computer is load a few subroutines, when cleaning the system before I start working...

Subroutines are removed when payment is made at end of job...

What my subroutines are, are left to your imagination...

I get paid or I have a good laugh...

He's been in his own business over 2 years now and he still doesn't know a safe way to protect his company from IT people. I  always felt like he was Low balling on his IT help which is stupid! Now I see that not only is he stupid, he's also greedy AND cheap! Rofl!

Johnny B. uses "Apple Shit", the computer for the "Computer Idiot"...

His "Server Problems" appear to be when his "Studio System" merges with other "PC Systems"...

This is an inherited flaw with "Apple Shit"...

Bomar

PS: "Apple Shit" for a computer system was/is made to make Newspapers and Magazines, (when pretty pictures and their manipulation are required)...

Real computer work requires a PC or Unix System...

Johnny B. is using a hammer to drive in a screw, can be done, but it is the wrong tool for the job...

Apple days brings back memories!

I was in love with Apple when they first came out (around 1977 - 1978?) I bought an Apple II in order to set up my inventory on computer because it never balanced when counting on those 3X5 cards.  I especially liked "Visicalc" spreadsheet.  After a few years though and about 6 units in my office which we used for accounting, (inventory, payroll, a/r etc., I soon realized that Apple's software was entirely too proprietary.  So I dumped them and went to IBM.  Apple, however, has always been a good product for users in the "creative arts".

I've decided to take the plunge by teaching myself "Ubuntu" so I can get away from Microsoft entirely if possible.  The smart techies in my family tell me I can run it alongside Microsoft until I become proficient at the open source system (which is my attraction), then blow Microsoft off!  We'll see!

I am an abstract, Bomar, has been defined...

"What Does The Name "Bomar" Mean?...

You can go to great heights and equally great depths... You are emotional and fixed in your opinions... You are hospitable, sentimental, often psychic, sometimes moody... You are ruled by love and the lack of it and feel a need to be encouraged and appreciated... You are frank, methodical and believe in law, system and order...

Dependable, very down-to-earth and well grounded, you are always looking for meaningful work, a career where you can take pride in your work and do the best job you are capable of... Your prime desire is to build protected and secure environment at home and at work... You can be very persuasive in achieving goals and gaining objectives... You can be very detailed and well-organized and possess great organizational skills... At times you may appear too stubborn and overly critical to others, but your practical approach to life and productivity makes you one of the most beneficent members of community..."
