I agree, that wold be cool.  I vaguely remember a documentary onHistory or Discovery channel years ago that told the real story of pirates sans Hollywood glamorizing.  Maybe someone could try and find folks from that show, which I can't remember it's name, so really I don't think I'm helping sorry.

He's playing with semantics. Your definition of atheist is correct. Without theism. But if an atheist accepted the evidence, they wouldn't be an atheist. I believe this was what Manx was saying (please correct me if I misconstrued you, Manx).

Correct, because at that time that evidence was provided, and the evidence was accepted, that person would no longer be an atheist. But I think you knew what he meant.

No, because someone who changes their ideas on existence based what evidence they have personally examined and accepted is more akin to being a scientist.

Scientist and atheist are two different words, they are not even synonyms but I understand that people seem to have that idea

Simply look up the word in a dictionary, including the a- prefix and the -ism suffix, it's what I have done myself to clear up what that means because I get different answers when I ask an atheist what that means
