Russia also has been sending bombers, submarines, etc close to us (and NATO allies.) Not sure it is about Obama's weakness per se but both of them trying to expand their influence and flex some muscle. Certainly they recognize, that except for politics effecting him or maybe his party, that Obama could really care less about the country, or our allies, but are also taking advantage of our recent and current wars, divisions within NATO, demoralization in our military and country, and some new vulnerabilities (possibly, if claims are true) in our technical military capabilities means they can get away with it. But this kind of thing has happened for decades- to some extent or an other. (Testing vulnerabilities, shadow games with subs, and what not.)

No. I interpret China's currency devaluation as an admission of incompetence and this pathetic saber rattling as a way of saving face.

Barry's got an eye on them,  but why give them the satisfaction of acknowledging their impotent posturing?
