Leo just posted this on FB.

2/18/2015 - Today I come to you with this message with a heavy heart as I must announce today that Mutual will cease all production and broadcasts at the end of the year. Our final broadcast will be 12/31/2015. The network is on replay mode from now until December 23rd. Dark Thirty News will have a special live broadcast on that day. I will join in to discuss some aspects of this decision at that point. There will be additional broadcasts the week of the 28th, and then its over. One of the big issues right now is the music licensing. That rates are set to go up astronomically in January. We were already struggling with how we were going to handle the old rates. The new rates simply make this impossible. 2016 will bring a mass exodus of internet streaming radio stations because its simply too expensive to play the music. Something like 55% of the gross income would go to music licensing. Even though the music is only a tiny portion of the overall content of the show. I'm sorry that leaves little left over to work with. I understand we are talk radio primarily, but the music bumpers and segues are a very important element. Not 55% worth of course. But they make the laws - we dont see it financially viable to work under the 2016 model.

Except that as part of the deal I was offering Leo I included my entire music library royalty free, somewhere around 50+ hours, including recordings of my dad, Julius Schulman, soloing with the original Mutual Broadcast Symphony Orchestra, and music I acquired for the two movies I produced.

Oh, I forgot. I was a parasite who expected Leo to do everything and pay for everything.

Don't worry about it.  That's high praise coming from Leo Asshat.

Watch it! There's some asshats reading this right now!

I'd be interested to hear more about the "personality clashes" between Leo and J. Neil Schulman.

I don't think personality clashes were a substantive issue. I can only guess since I never met Leo face to face but I think, given his health issues, Leo wanted someone with more of a technical background in radio than I brought to the table.

Not with a bang, but a whimper. mmmm.

I dont like asshot but truely you have to be one of the most ignorant bastards i have ever come across. that certainly aint you in the pic. I bet my soul you are one of the ugliest forgive spelling bastards in his moms basement that ever lived.

I find it interesting that his post regarding his own broadcast network (I'm using that term in the loosest possible fashion) ended up being another huge rant about what happened with MITD.

I'm no psychologist/psychiatrist, but there's some kind of weird crazy Munchausen syndrome thing going on with Leo.

It was a fun drama filled ride, but I suppose I'll have to hitch my rubber neck elsewhere now. Shame!

Leo failed show, failed radio network. He really showed Art. Art's show lasted way longer and the Dark Matter network is still up while Leo's is in the shitter.

At least Neil wanted to do a show and wasn't boring and bitching on air, and that's all from literally like 2 minutes of air time I heard from him. I say you try and do another show Neil if you hook up with someone who isn't insane and doing the whole show out of spite you might have some success.

You talking about your old man was 100% better than anything Leo had to say.

How amazingly and sadly hypocritical.  The individual who was actually doing all of Nexus Broadcast's Low Power FM engineering and FCC filings, when it was doing that, is transgender and LGBT activist, Michi Bradley, an excellent engineer in her own right.
