I think you're counting the 'paranormal news' segments? They're done in a very similar tone to the 'American' ad style, or at least that's how it sounds to non-americans. (for the record, Brit adverts are just as shitty, but less hyperactively in-yer-face at 530am) I was dubious about these segments at first, but they're really growing on me.

well,  I'd like to see the verified numbers before saying anything.  I dont really mind commercials if there are 2 mins 4 times an hour.  Thing is I HATE commercials period so when I hear them I'm always like ahhhh crap.

After editing my streamWriter rip (for my personal archive, thank you... I prefer live for the bumper music) of last night's show for ads and show promos (I also happen to like the weird-news segments) it breaks down as 157/180 minutes of real show content... just 23 minutes of crap over the three hours or a mere 7.6 minutres of ads and promos per hour

actual show may vary depending on the bumpers.  and they count as show so.... i think bellboys numbers are probly right... point is ACTUAL commercial to show ratio is severely bent to the show side... so much so that ITS NEGLIGIBLE!

I have no problem with the time spent for commercials, but I do listen to a lot talk radio and AM.  Art doesn't have as much foolishness being advertised during his show - the others kill me with gold and nutritional supplements (snake oil).

Fuck it, I'll come out of the closet here: I am not yet a Time Traveler.
My online banking is completely snarled up, they won't give me a new password and I haven't mustered the emotional strength to phone them up and fight about it. So no Paypal for me. When I sort this out I'll join and happily pay the higher sub. Yet I'm bloodyminded enough to make a point of not looking for torrents. This isn't even out of respect for Art, it's about respect for BellGab, the Haturz and the Scorpion Army... also a studied insult to Noory. Either I stay up till 5am and listen live or miss the show and look forward to someday having a backlog of fresh shows (without adverts).
