That "640" that was heard right after the JC clip call, was the station KFIam 640 promo, which is the station Dave is on here in Los Angeles (where he is based)!!!!!

INSULTATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the first show I've deliberately skipped since Art is back.  :-\   I saw "Flat Earth Debate" on his website and for some odd reason was offended.  I said to myself.... "This can't be serious. It's 2015 and there are people that believe the Earth is flat?"  *sigh*  Some of my fellow 'Gabbers suggested I should give it a go.  I guess I'll listen from the archive.

Cheers all!  :)

I think I have an explanation. "Jon" must have played all the old Might and Magic games about half a year ago and decided that the nacelle space platforms that serve as the setting are just too good to be science fiction.

Jon is a fraud. We all know that the planet is actually on the back of a giant space turtle.

Damn you revealing the secret 'they' don't want us to know. Don't be surprised if the MIB wake you up at 4am. Seriously.

Email him and thank him for tonight, and ask him to come back alone.
I just did.

Like Art said, WAY below his pay grade

Could be, but it also could have been "AM640" CFMJ out of Toronto, which also runs Coast. Lots of people listen to Snoory on the AM640 stream on TuneIn. Because it broadcasts from Canada, I believe it is one of the few TuneIn streams that allows US listeners to listen to that show. It's often competing with Dark Matter Radio Network, CNN, and the BBC channels for the top spot on the Trending chart on TuneIn.

Omg I  can't believe I missed this one. I had my device set to record it for me and it didn't work. Sounds like a train wreck of epic proportions.  I did wake up in the middle of the night and hear Hoagland  say that he was only going to talk about it for a couple of minutes and then move on lol. I'm pretty willing to be open minded to varying opinions on varying subjects but the flatter thing is way too few IQ points below my threshold. Someone should've just  called and reminded him about the dude that jumped out of the balloon  A few years back. He had tons of cameras on him  and he went into space where you can see the curvature of the globe. No NASA involved.

Wilderness

I'm 10 minutes into the interview - I'm surprised the josh even showed up.  Way below pay grade.  I'm impressed though.  He'd be good as a guest alone - as above poster mentioned.

The flat earth dude is a right donkey - I would use other descriptions... I'm being kind..

This is a little too cringe worthy. Laughable.  But entertaining just how out there some people can be.

I'd be very concerned if I had business with this person.

urbie88

you know last night's show was radio gold when it's the next day and you can't get the flat earth guy's arguments out of your head.

I'm amazed Art never asked what was under the flat earth?

Still can't get the idea that this guy thinks gravity is a conspiracy theory out of my mind!   :o

b_dubb

No. You're all wrong. Earth is a mostly flat surface between God's asshole and genitali. Yes that's right. I'm a Flat Tainter.

I thought it frustrating that they (Art and round earth dude) kept interrupting flat earth boy, as if they had to defend the concept of a round earth. Half the fun of someone being full of crap is letting them run their mouth. I find it entertaining. I fell asleep early but can't really remember dude being allowed to finish a sentence. I am much more comfortable with a free exchange of bullcrap than a stodgy and uptight defense of "the truth".

Will I fall off if I go too far? will I land on the moon, wait the sun is bigger so it must be closer. Good job I've got 9 lives cos I might burn my pussy, oops I mean my feet.

I hadn't paid much attention to flat-earthers, but I had always assumed they were intelligent people who engaged in sophistry-as-entertainment. Learning they are true believers winks out another star of my misplaced faith in humanity.

Worst guest ever.

I just sent him a nice e-mail as well.  He deserves the kudos for keeping his cool.

I went to bed a little ways into the 2nd hr.  I guess it was a useful extreme demo of the lengths some people will go to to alter or ignore facts to fit their assumptions.  Which may be the satire that that guest intended -- I could never be sure it wasn't just an act, hence the performing name.

I never figured out whether "the laws of perspective" that made distant things seem falsely to be behind other things was a matter of optical geometry or of the human visual system.  Or what the difference was between the behavior of objects according to their density, and gravity.  Did he ever say what'd happened 6 mos. earlier to change his mind?

I mirror your statements.   I can't help but feel this guy just wanted to be contrary to an absolute truth just so his buddies can giggle and tell him how 'awesome' he was on the Art Bell program.  Lot's of thumbs up on Facebook.  Or a possibility could be he's recovering from a meth addiction and found his "belief" as a saving point.  I could go on for the sake of being funny or outrageous, however this guy was plain ignorant.  There is no excuse.  If one truly believes the Earth is flat then they should keep walking until they find the edge...then fall off.

sent an email to the good doctor.

The fact Art let him go before John was belittling. He deserved at least to have the last word.

Still, bring the the doctor back!

Ditto. The guy kept saying that this, that or the other has been proven, but he never got a chance to explain the so-called proof (if he actually had any). It would have been very entertaining.

Skunk Ape

This is a must listen episode. This is exactly the stuff that makes you want to pull your hair out and I've loved every minute so far.

Jon should be thankful he didn't put out his real name. He would be facing the full brunt of the Scorpion Army this morning.

Oh, wait. He won't fall off because there's a huge wall of ice all around the perimeter of the flat earth. LOL
