Every year I plan on doing this too then change my mind at the last minute.

Chefist!  Would you please give us some tips on deep frying turkey?  Thank you. :D

I'm no chefist, but I'd recommend thawing the thing out before the attempt...

I watched this beautiful sunrise from my window this morning!

Good Morning Everyone!!  The coffee is finished brewing, help yourselves  :-*

I can smell it from here! Thanks. I brought Sausage gravy and biscuits for everyone. The Holiday stream is up as always and the paranormal stream is flowing good. Just have to update the news pod's. So good morning everyone. But enough of that.

Time for the Saturday post.

Tonight starting at 8PM Central until Midnight Central ( Thats 6 to 10pm Pacific for you guys in Rio Linda ) on http://ksyl.com is:Art Bell: Somewhere in Time. Where Art  returns to 5/20/94 when correspondent for TIME magazine, David Aikman, spoke about the politics of the day, Waco, and his novel that depicts a second Civil War in the US.

Ksyl has a live stream listed on their page and they can also be found on Tune-in.
If you are local to NW Louisiana or if the propagation is right, you can hear them on 970AM,
I do not know if the show is in the archive. Jazmunda might have the info on that. However from past info, these may be the "new" classics and may not be in the archive.

For those of you with a bent for nostalgia, from 6pm to 8pm Central, ksyl plays When Radio Was, with old radio shows from the time when "Radio was King!"

Also go to Youtube and "like" all the videos! Help us trend! http://youtube.com/artbell51

Remember "Theres Magic in the Static"

Yawn... thanks, I'm ready for that coffee and a bit of breakfast also.  I'm back to my 12 hour shifts at the data center.... appreciate the early morning breakfast sharing here!

Have a great Saturday everyone ... and remember to share the love and positive energy with friends, family and fur-kids!

We have done the deep fry turkey thing.. it's easy
But prefer the oven and the aroma and stuffing too.

I do both, kinda. I like to deep fry the turkey. I also make stock from the gizzards; and I make a large pan of stuffing, add the stock and bake for about 30 minutes.

A few times I have cooked two turkeys, oven and deep fryer. That is the best of both worlds.

We fried a couple times down here. Great turkeys! But we missed the smells and the prep in the house with everyone there and lending a hand for all that goes with the holiday, so we stopped the outdoor bit in favor of the fellowship. If you want some fun, go to youtube and watch some of the videos of idiots that haven't a clue on how to fry a turkey. "Explosive" fun !

I always thaw the turkey in the fridge before cooking, unless I buy it fresh the day before TG Day.  But thanks for the tip Pate. :D

You are all welcome to come to my house. However, I don't eat anything with the word surprise in its name.

Eat tasty Canadian Thanksgiving dinner...

Is there supposed to be punctuation there?

I won't eat anything with the words bean surprise in it.  With my luck, it could be Lima beans. :o

Lima beans should not be classified as food, but as a torture device.

Is there anything different, or weird, involved with Canadian Thanksgiving food? Or even just in the holiday?

Orson Welles's recording of 'War of the Worlds'. Vincent Price's BBC "Price of Fear" stuff. In terms of audio.
